    Probably. Not having flown an OHOS King Air I don’t know.
    But I’d bet the manual doesn’t say “When you hear the props grinding on the runway, perform a go-around. You forgot to lower the gear”...

    what's a pair of props worth - $50~100K?

    Might not be the pilots fault, possibly a nosewheel failure. As you say, it's probably a 30+ year old plane.

    At least they could clean the bloody engine cover! Where's Moretti when you need him? :)

    I think it’ll need a lot more than just a couple of props. The left engine at least will need to be examined and possibly overhauled I would have thought.
    The repair cost if both engines need to be done could even be more than the aircraft is worth.

    I don’t know what happened, but word on the street is the pilot was conducting an instrument approach (possibly below minimums) and forgot to lower the gear. When the props started scraping the runway did a go-around followed by a very low circuit and landing.
    That would have been one very interesting circuit...

    I find it hard to believe there is no gear warning in those HOSs.
    The Pilatus would be screaming so loud about lowering the gear you’d have to be completely deaf and blind not to catch it.
