Since I had the wheels painted gold 2-1/2 years ago, I have gotten nothing but positive comments about it. I found that it's a classy way to make the car a bit different without doing something tacky, and it ties the car to its racing heritage, when all those Ferraris of the '60s and '70s were racing with five-spoke gold-colored wheels. I think that anyone with a red 308 or 328 should consider doing this if and when they need their wheels repainted. Just make sure you do it semi-gloss; I once saw a bad attempt on a 308 - not only was the color too light, but the wheels were way too shiny.
I always liked this angle, as it emphasizes some of the car's curves: Image Unavailable, Please Login
