I believe the favored dish for Merc that year was NICOise salad. Fine Finnish Tuna. No Ham.

    Nico is German, not Finnish.

Nico’s a German citizen, but is half-Finnish obviously by virtue of his father Keke.

He considers himself German. Most people adopt the nationality of their citizenship rather than their birth country, if the two are different.

In Nico’s case, he was born in Germany where his mother’s from.

Is this why RIC moved to Renault, his head doesn't fit in the Red Bull anymore......

Did you know that at Monza in 2006, I sat in the pits during qualifying and actually put away some tyre warmers. There, more knowledge that people didn’t know..

A couple of reasons really. 1) More money in Renault 2) favoritism towards Max. Horner is putting all his chips on Max.

Abiteboul just said that have 60% less budget than Mercedes; so it does'nt look good for Renault or DR.

I have a "feeling" Renault were holding back on the hot bits for the engine and next year you will see DR at the front more often than not if this engine comes to fruition :)

Traditionally, Renault has always ran its team on a limited budget compared to other factories like Mercedes, Ferrari, Honda, Toyota, etc ...

That didn't stop them being successful at times, like the 2 titles with Alonso, etc ....

Of course not. That word can be an adjective or a noun. I purposefully used an intentional misspelling with a ç (cedilla) as a tounge-in-cheek adjective for your spelling "correction" of Niçoise.

Alas, my attempt at humour was deemed criminal and I was banished for a week. During my hard time riding the lifts in Breckenridge and debating the merits of snow tyres on an F430, I considered the possibility of my punishment not fitting the crime. Perhaps I will suggest to the moderators a more appropriate sentence for future unintentional infractions: TEN consecutive forced viewings of the most recent Formula E race.

Worthy of a bump to restore legitimate humour to the thread!

During my time off I actually had a few beverages with some Aussies. We had some good laughs about this and other things...

My bad - - please accept my apologies. Unfortunately, I didn't take your use of the word "fascist" in the humorous vein you actually intended. Now I see it in its proper light - - a lighthearted joke about my anal-retentive correction of Nicoise/Niçoise. It certainly never occurred to me that all this would lead to a one-week banishment for you. Very unfortunate.
