Following the fun I had building the 'Ratarossa' Testarossa Spider over on the TR Forum for the last few years, along with the enjoyment of the Magazines and SmokingTire Videos we shot.
    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/the-ratarossa-the-testarossa-spider-rebuild-project.499875/

I am now about to start my New next project.
Its a US 308 GTS QV 1983 car and a non runner. The plan is to get it back on the road, fully rebuild the car along with a total respray and at the same time do a US to Euro Conversion. I will VLOG the full build start to finish on my YouTube channel.

Heres the first video of the series and start of the 308 Project.

    Enjoy.

Scott, did you toke off the little 5 screws inside the caps ? Those are often correded and dont make contact to the plug wires.
You cannot take off the big black tube to the plenum. It is needed for the Air-flow sensor plate to move down and put more fuel into the fuel distributor.
Still think you need to see the plunger moving free...just take of the 3 screws on top of the fuel distributor and turn a bit to remove the upper part.

Most important with K-jetronic is not to have air leaks between Air-flow sensor plate and intake valves. So everything on and under plenum , auxiliairy-air device, warm-up regulator, cold start valve, have to be checked on air leaks.
At the picture you find the flashes where to look for possible air leaks.
Its the vacuum from a starting/running engine that makes your air-flow sensor plate moves and regulates the fuel quantity.

With the head of fuel distributor of, did you check if the plunger moved free ?
The black rubber tube have to sit tight at the plenum...no air may enter anywhere exept from the air flow sensor plate, the auxiliare valve. No air leaks allowed on cold start valve or other tubes at the plenum. Youre engine will not run smoothly with air leaks !
Can you try to start without the cold start valve connected...just disconnect the Bosch connector of it. And see what happens.
Then see how much fuel is deliverd from the fuel pump....disconnect RETURN line at the fuel distributor (at the lower front side) and put it in a plastic can...it has to be 1.000 cm3 in 30 seconds. If not I believe there is a fuel filter in the gastank also....but for 308 I'm not shure.
Next thing would be removing injectors to see how they spray and how much.....
    Guido.

Cams out of time on the front bank would be my guess. Also for me a compression test would be all plugs out, disable fuel, wide open throttle, crank 5-10 secs for testing each cyl.

My thoughts too. (posted that on your youtube page) When all the compression numbers are evenly that low, it'll point to a cam opening at the wrong time.

Im hoping the same. Yes I agree that's how it should be done, I had a really limited amount of time and waste sure if i would get all 8 done on the day and didn't want to leave the car half apart. Going to retest for sure before the next move.

not a ferrari, but the same principle. go to about 1:03 or so... start there.

I wouldn't re-test it at all. manually turn it over and pull the timing covers off.

Yes I was quite happy to find the split hose, it was very well hidden as top side looked totally fine.

When i ran the compression test on episode 9 with the replacement tester I switched and re tested some of the front banks and they read the same as before so I think the readings are correct. That said now that I have the engine lid off there's much more access to the rear bank and I will be rerunning some tests.
