Hey all! Quick question....I took delivery of my 2nd pista yesterday and have had some weird issues with the paint. After about 5 miles on a clean road taking it home it seems the paint has started to chip. I took it to my detail shop who were in agreement that paint should not simply be flaking away. We played around with it for a bit to try and understand what was going on and the paint started falling off just by rubbing your finger over it. Has anyone else experienced this? My dealer will be taking the car in tmrw and talking to Ferrari to try and figure out what's going on but they're stumped as well as they've never seen paint issues like mine. I'll post some pictures shortly so you all can see what I'm saying.

    Happy Holidays!!

Oh no. How incredibly heartbreaking. I feel awful for you. Is it just the front bumper? And is it flaking around rock chips or simply flaking spontaneously? Keep us posted on the ultimate resolution.

Sadly they aren't rock chips...The paint seems to just be flaking away by the touch for whatever reason.

Bumper only? Is it flaking anywhere else?

It is only flaking on the one panel but the entire panel not just a concentrated area..

Nothing, it's being driven around happily by my GF.

That’s a serious bummer and I hope it gets rectified soon and proper by Ferrari. Please keep us posted on the details.

Car looks amazing and I like your style! The issue with the paint is very concerning. I would very much like to know what happens please keep us posted. I wish I could explain it better than it seems like there is an issue with the paint application.

Mixing that new low temperature paint process and then later forcing the drying time on a panel that was repaired elsewhere? It could have happened in New Jersey and have nothing to do with the build process in Italy! Was the car sent by ship or air?

Nice! Thanks. It looks hot with the dark wheel and red caliper color combo. Any pics of the trim inside!

maybe the paint on the CF panels is the challenge.

As I posted before regarding our Pista...get a clear bra before driving it on the road. I have to get many little chips fixed after not too long of a drive. Chips fixed, clear bra on...all good.

About the clear bra. No kits available. Suntech measured our Pista so a kit will be coming. If you want a clear bra you have to have it hand cut.

    Why
What is relevance of it being second Pista to the pain issue ? I am smelling insecurity here.

    Sure I'll post some!
Yes that's my car! Tony Bonniello my local cars & coffee founder shot it!
My dealer has done a few of them already, I think there might be a kit.
Why the hostility? I mentioned it as it might be relevant and the paint on my 1st could start to see similar issues as well...

Picked ours up, guys kicked butt on the clear bra. You are right there IS a kit for everything from the c pillar forward. C pillar back there is not kit...suntech is making one.

Big Congrats to you on obtaining 2 Pista’s.*

I hope your dealer can resolve this paint issue for you without too much pain.

    * I believe you have 2 Speciale’s (maybe sold one that I saw listed in Fchat) thus 2 pistas - Nice!

Hopefully my next F car will be a Speciale ...I’m patiently searching for a red one.

    Enjoy and Happy Holidays

Beautiful spec. Hope to see it around our local cars and caffe as well as other events in our area. Congrats on getting two pistas. I couldn't even get one from my primary f car dealer. So I bought a different brand instead. Haha

Is the Pista more susceptible to damage than say a 488? I wonder as have done 4000 kms in the 488 and no issues?
