Simple yet very critical to the Countach design. Where do you stand and why?

There’s certainly something to be said for that.

Moody wing. He must’ve known a thing or two.

Moody wing with wide-buttress supports, fully-adjustable with lynch-pins locks for 2 settings, wild & mild, as designed by chassis & aero genius Giampaolo Dallara himself for the Wolf Countachs, as originally mounted on just 3 LP400S S1 (1002, 1030 & 1038), I reckon when you get to 175 mph you'll be glad you have it ;)

Were all wings on production Countach models factory installed? If not, which were and which were not?

    This has been discussed elsewhere.

As the wings were not Homologated with the Italian Transportation Authority by Lamborghini SpA for application to it's road cars, initially the wings were not installed inside the factory to comply with the rules. However, as time went on they were actually fitted at the factory despite their unofficial status.

It's hard to say what, when & where as nobody appeared to document or monitor their application.

Something about the front wing is so appealing (but without the additional driving lights), sort of Hammerhead. ;)

Thanks, Joe. I’ve tried finding this info on various threads. Some threads are just too deep to dig through.

    Then & Now.

I came across these 2 images which perhaps illustrate that some of us evolve with time as reflected by what's in our stable.

I can say I've done the when wing was king thing ;) and the first image from almost a decade ago shows the famed 1121038 and the final USA production F40 93627, both mega-wing ultimate supercars.

Fast forward to the present day and the second image shows GLA12997 and GTO 53289, both wingless benchmark supercars.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

There’s no disputing, both options are fantastic. The F40 and 288 aren’t bad either. Merry Christmas.

That’s just the kind of cartoon B.S. most owners are longing for these cars to move away from.

Walter Wolf did that decades ago with his original white LP400. Looked even worse!

Looks like the no-wings have it now.

I thought you liked all manner of wings, even front wings?!

    Agreed, especially on an LP400.
