    Yes !
the Kode57, the very exclusive supercar designed by the father of the Ferrari Enzo. The Monterey Car Week 2016 motor show, currently held in California, is an opportunity to discover some of the most exclusive cars. Ken Okuyama's Kode57 is one of them. This speedster-style supercar turns heads with its "scissors" doors articulated from behind (see photos). These open on a cockpit dressed in red mixing leather and fabric, each seat having its own color code.

And if you find that the Kode57 has faux-airs of Ferrari Enzo, it's normal: Ken Okuyama was in charge of the design of the Italian. The Japanese designer, now independent, has indeed directed the office style Pininfarina.MODERNITY AND TRADITIONThe latest-born father of Kode7 and Kode9 is animated by a V12 central-front whose power was not communicated. Its endless hood and short stern pay tribute to the sport of yesteryear. This is also the case with his name, 1957, which marked the birth of legendary cars and an international recognition of motorsport according to Okuyama. The panels of bodywork in carbon fiber rest on an aluminum structure, pledge of lightness. The two-seater is placed on 21-inch tires at the front and 22-inches at the rear.

Only one copy of Kode57, announced as a very limited edition, has been produced. According to rumors, it has already been bought by boxer Floyd Mayweather, amateur supercars if any, for about 2.5 million dollars (2.2 million).

I spotted them on the configurator, didn't like how it looked and hence decided to remove them. Whether I might regret this in the future, I'll find out. I don't have sensors on the Speciale (front nor rear) and never hit anything. But that one has no carbon. And the Pista has nothing but carbon...

I changed my order and deleted the front sensors. Usually I won’t go without them but they look just too disturbing on most pictures.

Because they are just for show. No practicality needed, pure design. The first real life scrape and you will wish you had bit the bullet.

Most of those pictures are taken from the ground up instead of top down, like the rest of us view cars. So they highlight what is far less visible than if viewed from normal angle. The ugly but necessary stuff is underneath, hence usually out of sight. Sensors, though necessary, cannot be out of sight. If it’s a garage queen, except for one Sunday a month, or a pure show car, I get it. The rest of us like to drive these things and appreciate a heads up sensor warning before we scrape the thing. Eventually, improvements in technology and design will make them imperceptible. Until then, it’s a little mole on Marilyn. You’ll get over it Image Unavailable, Please Login

Grew up with no sensors, my GT4 has no sensors (front or rear) and nor did my GT3RS. Just need to be aware and be careful - worth the hassle as they look so bad.
