It said in the vid that the ruler paid for it to be shipped out to be at the first Bahrain GP. I m guessing the owner preferred the purer ROW spec and imported one instead once they got to 25 yrs old
Good eye. The owner in the video (a member here) has had more than one F40; a US spec car that travelled to the GP and now a ROW spec car shown in the video.
I don't understand why Bahrain would fly in an F40 from the states. I'd assumed there were dozens already there no?
Because he'd met the owner and wanted to? Beautiful car and great video!!! I like that they actually put lots of car sounds in it and didn't play music over that glorious noise!! Dream car for sure.
I dont get it either. I was there during the 04 F1 race as I am an official at Bahrain International Circuit and I dont remember seeing an F40 there. I could have easily missed it too but i was in the the center of the track and near the pits area afterwards and near the paddock club.....No F40. Plus we have at least 2-3 F40s in country..... Edit: After watching the video to the end this time LOL, Yes the pics are there of this car being at the BIC. Also i can see in the background the GT Porsche cars being offloaded. He was there! and He was invited by HH the Crown prince....It all makes sense now.....(and Now i know how i missed seeing it on track too).
Here, and with Jacky Ickx signing it "Bahrain". I sold this F40 for him a few years ago to my VIP client who still has it Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah Like i said I know Now how i missed it in Bahrain LOL.............After i watched the video in its entirety....
Possibly referring to when the 125 S was built in 1947, the company's first car. TMK, Enzo designed and built the Auto 815 back in 1940 when he was 42.
I figured someone would mention the video here, I just watched it myself yesterday. Mann, still my ultimate dream car!! Would love to get a ride in one.
'Because he can'? Not sure of the history, I know he had been making motors and racecars for awhile, this could be correct as far as 'street cars for common sale' are concerned?
