There’s no question that Classiche has done some very poor/questionable restorations. I’m just curious if 0628 happens to be an example of a very good one. If you read about the topic of Classiche on here much you hear plenty about the bad ones they have done. I wonder if they are all bad.

Ferrari competition cars in the early era probably were not to well finished?

I have a model 250 TR and she's gorgeous. Surprised it didn't get first place if Ferrari themselves had restored it. Maybe they were hoping for paint blemishes etc at the event?

250 TR #0756 TR of Chris and Anne Cox placed 2nd in class at Pebble Beach 26 August 2018.
Class winner was Tom Peck's fabulous two-tone painted 500 Mondial Spider Scaglietti #0580 MD. Very well deserved win with an outstanding restoration done by Bob Smith Coachworks of TX.
The Cox 250 TR and its restoration by Classiche is color featured in the official Ferrari Yearbook 2018.
3rd place in the comp car class at Pebble Beach this year was Brian Ross' 250 MM Berlinetta Pinin Farina #0258 MM, restored by Motion Products of Neenah, WI/USA.

Can someone with credible knowledge comment on Tom’s Pecks 1954 Modial 0438 following its Classiche restoration? From what I’ve been able to tell, the restoration was a major success, given it’s first place class award at Pebble Beach in 2015. Is there more to the story?

Questions - for those who have their cars certified:

    - What model do you have?

    - Why did you decide to have it certified?

    - Are you glad you have it?

This will be interesting to watch for sure. Interesting what references are made about Classiche’s involvement with this car, particularly given that it was restored by Motion Products in the US. Goes against certain commonly held views by some. Would love to hear from others that know more about this car.

You don't go after Ferrari, Ferrari goes after you.

I wonder how many cease and desists they send out annually.

Mr. Andrea Modena (Modena like the name of the city), former head of Ferrari West Europe, is now the new head of SAT Servizio Assistenza Tecnica in Maranello, which also includes Ferrari Classiche.
Former SAT and Classiche boss Luigino Barp is now retired, after about 30 years at Ferrari and Maserati. He left the factory in July 2020.
