Thoughts on new modern F430 tail lights

LOL....I'm planning on hiding a Ducati Panigale Final from my wife this spring! I have just the space in my garage.

 

well that should be easy ! a great choice by the way! I almost bought one myself ! was going to be a Panigale and an aircraft, an Ercoupe or a Funk! wanted a blue one so I could say "I've been flying around in a blue Funk " ............instead we got the Ferrari ! Thankfully i've no need to hide a motorcycle ! the wife loves to ride and being 4'9 " 90 something lbs never screws up the handling !

 

Those ring lights look really cool. I like them too!

Just make sure whatever ring ED you end up using is bright enough otherwise you will be disappointed and you may have to open up your brake light housing again to replace it with something better / brighter.

I have the scudding swiss and it is definitely ALOT brighter. Love my solid third brake light from them too....The turn signal indicator relay upgrade is alittle annoying on signals that take longer than 2min. The alarm sounds after 2min to let you know you left the turn signal on...

Yes, that feature is annoying and its enabled by default but you can turn that feature off. Check the owners manual.

I turned that feature off on mine. No more annoying beep after 2 minutes.

 

Another vote for scuding swiss... great customer service.

 

I will look into that...I don't mind if it's changed to say 4-5min or maybe I'll just completely eliminate the warning.

 

Anyone able to get good halo rings on their Taillights?

 

Stefan (Scuding) did a great job engineering his LED tail light kit. Spend the time installing it rather than trying to find something better or building something unique.

My sole complaint is what I installed is all behind me and I don't get to see it work. LOL.

I have 4 of those ring lights. Do you simply put them inside the housing and thats it? Do you keep the existing bulb or do you use somekind of diode to also have the brake light in the ring lights?

 

Thoughts on these for f430?! Too tuner?

Looks like a very interesting project I can try but trying to get the right resistance is going to be hard unless there is a local shop that does professional Halo Mods

 

Look at them halos...

 

I’m more curious if he has rubbing on the wheels/tires…

I like how one of the features is "made in factory." Lol.

I wish they had more detailed pics of the underside. I see they're using metal mounts. I feel like aftermarket light designers always take it a bit too far in one direction. These are way too modern IMO for the F430. I think the style needs to be dialed back.

 

Thanks for the share. I personally like how the light is slightly bigger. More "statement" if you will. Upon further digging I feel like this item is outsourced as 1) it's a "pre-sale" and 2) the person doesn't have consistency with the items offered. The only F430 item is this "factory-made" light. Haha

Would proceed with caution but hey, since it is a pre-production listing you can have them dial down the modern aspect of it and they'll say it'll cost MORE to look LESS
