My F430 started to have squeaking noise from the absorbers when going over speed bumps. It got worse over the months but the weird thing is the noise goes away after 15 mins of driving.

So last weekend I decide to star the engine and let warm up for 15 mins before driving. True enough there was no noise at all.

I spoke to the ferrari workshop manager and he says I have to replace the absorbers but he also mention to me even after replacing it there will still be some noise.

I have owned my F430 for the last 10 months and there was no noise until recently. Anyone here experience the same issue?

I have the same exact issue on my 2006 F430 Spider.

I'm not sure if it's the shocks or ball joints.

Since the noise goes away after 15 minutes of driving I haven't done anything to it yet. Low priority for me. Will address it later.

My 2006 F430 coupe is beginning to have the same problem. But likewise, noise goes away after a few minutes.

I had the same but the noise (on the front) went away in 2 minutes. Mentioned to my Ferrari tech and he advised to lube the lower shock mount bolts. I knocked them half way out, (they are a stepped shoulder bolt) sprayed grease both sides and knocked them back in. I only hear the squeak very occasionally now and only in the first 100 yards of driving.

Could also be the shock bushings? Anyone tried spraying the bushings with some silicone spray, just to see if it goes away temporarily?

The flamblocs get tight after a while- drop them out and wire brush the pin, then re assemble using motor bike chain lub- the arm should then be very free to move.
I cannot work out why they say it is the shock absorbers through, What would be making the noise, other things to check before such an expense.

Those are the bushings on the suspension arms, where they pivot. Closest where they bolt to the chassis. Didn't think they would need lube, but if you do, I would try a wheel bearing grease or something that won't wear away quickly.

Look on the suspension diagram for the arm that has the ball joint, it pivots on 2 flamblocs attached to the body behind the wheels. These have 2 nylock nots holding them on, remove and strip down as they tend to become very tight and the wheel movement has to fight the tightness. Its an easy job anyway.

The motor bike chain lub is synthetic , goes on like wd40 and sets like a grease. Its good as it resists being washed off by water

Same issue on my 06 F430 spider. I get two good squeaks backing out of garage and then goes away.

Interesting indeed. I guess we will share info once we figure this out.

I know its been a while but any more solutions on this matter? I have exactly the same squeaks backing out the garage as you mentioned. Really curious.

I have the exact thing when I back out of the driveway at the point my car contacts the street. Two good squeaks then gone. I always thought it was the cold tires chirping a little as they transitioned over the Belgian block lip. I think it only happens when the car sits a few days also.

Most likely as others have mentioned, flamblocs, ball joints, or suspension bushings. I doubt it is the shocks themselves. I get the same squeaks and am pretty confident that mine is one of the three. Now just to isolate and figure out which.

    Almost forgot. 05 F430 15,000 miles
