    That is beautiful!!!!!!!

Bangle is a big ******! There is no outdoing the E38 but cmon, that was one of the ugliest if not the ugliest car that company has ever produced. It was funny watching the herd try to convince themselves that it was pretty when new.

I agree, the E65 is one of the ugliest cars ever made, and the worst influence. Compare it to an E32 or E38 .............

I think I could pick 10 times the cars from the previous two decades.

Chris Bangle - from there to here ..........

Yes agreed, there is something about the T350 that makes me think the Ferrari 250 SWB was a strong influence in the design.

Gran Turismo is very pretty, a little on the bloated side but pretty nonetheless. Gallardo prettier than the murcielago though? I dunno about that.

Best looking non-Ferraris since 1999? My dream garage includes:

Vantage V12 - balanced perfection for a front-engined sports car
DBS - both of them, I love them
Z8 - a classic for all time, will never age
8C - best looking Fiat of its day
993TT (ended 1998) - widebody and whaletail, my favorite 911 ever
NSX - again, a classic exotic look, too bad it had such low power
850 CSi - simple, clean lines

    Favorite luxury barge: Arnage T

    Honorable mentions:
Continental GT - they are common in major cities now but I remember being in love with it back in 2003
First gen S5 - something about this was so right
    Gran Turismo
    LP640
    Esprit V8TT

Its not a Ferrari and might be slightly considered unobtanium, but the Huayra Roadster and Pagani Zonda designs are epic!

Here's one that I cannot decide on no matter how hard I try. Which is prettier?

A 2001 Arnage Red label? Or a 2001 740i sport? The bimmer is definitely more timeless, but I cannot for the life of me decide which is prettier. I will say this though, as awesome of a car as the E38 is, the looks are what keep me from selling it. I've had it for almost 5 years now and every time I "consider" selling it, I walk out to it in a parking lot somewhere and am still in awe of its beauty, and cannot bring myself to sell it no matter how much it pisses me off from time to time. I think it all probably comes down to personal taste with those two. Those arnages look great in that flagship Blue on cream interior. That combo just works on that car. The bimmer might be prettier though.

I'm voting Bentley! There's someone I see from time to time around here who drives a Red Label. It's a cool car. A great friend, Greg (RIP ), loved his 7 series. Nice car, but not Bentley nice...T

I think truly good or challenging design in the last twenty years is pretty thin on the ground. More racing cars and concepts are being relied on.

You can thank DOT and other country regulations on safety and the effects it has on car design. The 1960s still has the best looking cars, but of course nothing today could ever be made like that.

I don't know. No doubt its harder, but then Alpine bring out the A110, Honda the S660. It can be done. I have a feeling if Fioravanti was at Ferrari things would improve across the board. Malign influences are a problem: the desire for tractors / SUVs, the car is not sexy anymore, the influence of one Chris Bangle and the fact the the younger generations couldn't care less about cars.

When Jaguar delay their XJ electric car, (the XJ has historically been feline, long, low and beautiful) to build a SUV / station wagon electric car, it suggests to me that they think the general consumer doesn't want feline, long, low and beautiful.
