Modified for the track. My notes indicate this GTO was flown by Alitalia to LAX (Los Angeles) on EE.183.AK plates, with shipping weight noted as 2,756 lbs (with fuel emptied out), that's light!
Customized, front bumper repainted red as well. Two separate warranty booklets issued, one in the name of Vandagriff and the other in the name of Gilbert Wiener. Marcel Massini

Will Bingo Sports 288 GTO EVO ever sell? its been there for a while. http://www.bingosportsworld.com/Inventory/#detail50 The story on 50253 is pretty interesting that it Became 70887. Is this 100% true?
Thanks for identifying it, I wasn't sure it was 56331, a beautiful GTO which we owned for a few years, according to the current owner it's been recently refurbished, it should do well @ Cavallino. The version of the image I have has obviously been put through a filter causing the resolution to sharpen and the colors to clear up back to original, photographers use this method to restore discolored vintage images. Here below is an old image from Silverstone 1995, apparently F1 driver Eddie Irvine's GTO Image Unavailable, Please Login
#53295. In circa-2000, it was repainted black and fitted with 308/328 seats trimmed in beige leather. It even had been fitted with non-288 GTO wheels for a time prior to coming to Japan in 2012.

I've seen the amber and red tail lights installed backwards on plenty of 308's, 328's, and Mondials over the years but you would think a little more care would be taken on a 288?!
Same car posted in this thread in October 2007 https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/137173595/ I did not know that, regardless, the photographer's notes explicitly say Silvertone 1995, and make reference to the fact that this is Eddie Irvine's GTO parked outside the Jordan Team area, which would be correct, as he moved to Ferrari in 1996. Marcel says it is 56331, the car is imaged in Bill Lyons driveway, and he did indeed own 56331, which I can personally attest to.
For anyone interested, I personally inspected 56761 (one of the GTOs coming up to auction) @ the late great Bob Pond's estate in Palm Springs in 2007, here are some images of the car's seat insets, my images Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
56331. B. J. Lyon (not Lyons) of Mobile/AL purchased several Ferraris from Jacques Swaters/Garage Francorchamps, including several Berlinetta Boxers and others as well. Marcel Massini
Correction to my post: 53307 was purchased by Eddie Irvine not in 1996, but on the 16th January 1993 already. Thank you very much to a very knowledgeable British Ferrari historian and avid ferrarichatter who made me aware of this. Marcel Massini
