Basically delivery miles. Very odd color. I cant imagine it was ordered with intention to flip as this color is going to be tough to sell. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/755103602/overview/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is a 70th anniversary 1/1 488 GTB livery #32 to commemorate Steve McQueen's 1963 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso.
This car is the 70th anniversary edition the dealer will mark as flavor of the month to anyone who wants a Pista allocation.
I see your purple 488 and raise you a goofball optioned 488: Yes gentlemen, there is a car in that video.
What's up with all these 488s lacking a ton of options? I see literally no carbon fiber inside, you would think they would try to juice up the MSRP. I give the car a 4/10 for the spec. She's a 6/10.
I highly doubt any of these 70th anniversary cars were bought as investments. These were bought to move up the pecking order and most will lose money (and their owners by and large knew this). After the green one was auctioned for a very high price some tried to flip these for a profit but as far as I know all these cars have just sat with the dealers at their high prices. Very similar story to what happened with the Alonso 599s.
Exactly, and therein lies the problem. Sad seeing that “loyalty” no longer means what it used to, just throw some money and you’re golden. This will turn away many current buyers/fans of the brand, especially given their F1 dominant days have been long gone.
Interesting, most of the 70th anny cars for sale don't have carbon/LED wheel's either. I saw one 70th Cali with carbon but most of the others don't. Most still had huge MSRP's too, even without the carbon.
Since they are an homage to the past, there wasn’t much carbon back then hence the lack in the specs.
I thought that blue car was a beautiful exterior spec. Don't care much for the diamond stitch sides though...
I agree with you. It is a really nicely spec'd out car. I imagine the car it was inspired after had the diamond stitch sides in the interior. I think the diamond stitching looks a little out of place as well but overall I really like it.
I love that light blue spec and I think the diamond stitch gives it a bit of a vintage feel. Very nice.
