Hi guys, I was offered an F50 from a 'broker' company I don't know. They gave me a copy of the title. But when I look up the company I don't find a lot. Does by any chance somebody knows the owner, Scott Gray from Phoenix. Owner of an F50. The company offering the car is: www.exoticcarbroker.us Thanks,
Here's another thread where they were mentioned: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/damaged-458.588168/ All the best, Andrew.
Haha idd. Im from Europe, so Im not sure how to check if a company is real. But the address doesn't seem to give a company when I look it up. I will keep looking if I find anything. Would be good to know if they are scam, at least we know it here . Thanks
There are a great many good reasons people go out of their way to deal with known, trusted, reputable people for an important car like that. The first and foremost on my mind is why would someone with an F50, a real F50, a good F50 go to an unknown to sell it? Did you look to see where Spring Creek NV is? Its out in the middle of nowhere SE of Elko. Thats the far side of the moon.
Here is the domain's registration info in case that doesn't match up with anyone you've spoken with: https://wa-com.com/exoticcarbroker.us Have you communicated directly with the person it lists there?
Hi guys, So here is the conclusion: www.exoticcarbroker.us is a scam. They offered the F50 (see pictures) And show a title on name of Scott Grey. Don't know if I should post the title here or not? For the rest they gave me a phone number of the owner (Scott Grey), the guy on the phone claims to be the owner, but exept spreaking on the phone, he has nothing to proof it. No Id, no recent photos, nothing. His phone is: +1 480-341-7258 I had contact with somebody that calls himself Jeff White. +17754190706 [email protected] Also had contact with a girl called Daniela Mueller [email protected] They ask a deposit to see the car, first 25k, than 10k As I asked for any references, they could nog give me anything. Only, that suddely, I receive text messages from 4 UK number, telling me they had bought a car from him. Here again, nothing can be checked. Ferrari, or any big dealer, broker or collector could say they knew him. So guys, be carefull.
I tried to upload some pictures, but nothing happens when I click on the button. Maybe because its on my phone. Vin of the car is: ZFFTG46A6S0103850

Thanks Marcel, Lets hope the owner is known her on the site, so at least he knows his car is used for a scam...
They want 25 large before you can even see it? Thats hilarious. Sad part is people do this because every once in a while someone falls for it. I tell people every week, the only "Deals" on a Ferrari are when you pay all the money, get the best and deal with reputable parties. The rest of the time it turns into a sob story.
Indeed. But still. I prefer to warn people for it. Its crazy I think. That they give you a number and the person on the phone tells you he is Mr Gray, that he owns the car, even tells a story around it. Must say, he was very friendly.
Adding Info.. FWIW I see that a " B.C. " may be the current owner. ( At least Ferrari thinks so ) Also, Racing Seats " Large " came with the car. S
Some of those pictures are included in an advert for an F50 on a German website: https://m.mobile.de/auto-inserat/ferrari-f50-brauschqeig/271425046.html Looking up the address of the dealer, "Mrs", I found: Auguststrasse18 DE-38100 Braunschweig https://www.google.com/maps/@52.2586978,10.5279331,3a,90y,110.82h,104.86t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipOSiEQ1cXXDz_GI38WnOuFX9IReKneVEXkQSrI1!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipOSiEQ1cXXDz_GI38WnOuFX9IReKneVEXkQSrI1%3Dw203-h100-k-no-pi-0-ya170.9534-ro0-fo100!7i13312!8i6656 ...a closed up highstreet shop next to an estate agent. Hardly where I'd expect to deal for a Ferrari F50. All the best, Andrew.
When I was looking for my F40 one of these loser outfits wanted $75k to reveal the VIN! It would be funny if it wasn't such a pathetic waste of time.
Just tell them your inspector (me) who is in town (I live here) would like to come to view it. It might be fun to hear the excuses they come up with.
I'm sure they also have 25 million waiting for you in Africa from a rich uncle you didn't know you had.
