I just purchased a 458 this Summer, I’m driving it at least once a week. Someone has told me I should plug it in all the time. It’s been starting up , with no problems so far, maybe a bit hesitant towards the end of the week, I thought to use it when I go on holidays, after a week or more. Do you in install the cord through open passenger window, thanks for any advice.

I just run the wire under the door and I plug it in whenever 3-4 days have passed without driving it.

Welcome to the family! You should definitely plug it in if it's going to sit for more than 2 days.

The included tender is pretty good, but I would recommend swapping it out for something more robust such as the 7002 CTek.

This is a few dollars higher than if you'd buy the parts separately but you get the idea.

+1 on the 7002. If your F-car has HELE (stop/start), you'll want to charge it in "snowflake" mode. Congrats on the new car!

The 7002 is a much better tender than factory as noted. Run the cordage under the front of passenger side door. There is a natural space Ferrari put there for running the cord into the cockpit. If you run the cord haphazardly you will eventual fracture the electrical cord. Like others pointed out plug the car in if your driving frequency is like you noted.

Or, you can use a Deltran Battery Tender Plus for under $80 which will last for years and be replaced free if it ever fails. Available from most auto parts stores.
I have over 20 years of satisfaction with these. One failure was replaced, no questions asked. 599, Gallardo, Avalon currently plugged into one each.
