    Did you find they were early production qv’s mostly, or was it all over the place, hit or miss, car by car? Besides the new cap and reducing antifreeze percentage, was anything else done that helped?

    Years ago, actually two timing belt changes ago, I removed the AC compressor and never reinstalled it. This winter, I decided to remove the condenser to improve air flow through the radiator. When I remover the condenser, I found a good bit of "junk" between it and the radiator. Then I blew through the radiator fins with 100 psi shop air and released a cloud of dust and debris....enough to need to sweep up! I had to remount the Spall fans to the rear by the thickness of the condenser.
    Will have to wait for summer to see if it helps my cooling issue.
