Thank you for your findings. I've heard we can expect a brand new interior design for the facelifted 488 (I think ferr9000 said that too) so it looks like it is really happening. And of course those new models can share the new interior design. For 488-facelift it will be a bonus to get a new interior look, like in BB, although I hope it will not be the only thing upped on the facelift model.
It's possible but it's not certain. From his CV we can see he works on F142M, F151M, F152M, F164, F173. He's attending prototypes' quality meetings for FL and F173 because those are the new projects (he started working on this matter in June 2018, so the other projects were already in production). He doesn't mention BB (F171), that should be at similar development stage as FL. https://bari.repubblica.it/cronaca/2019/01/12/news/ferrari_a_lecce_lasim_produrra_alcune_parti_di_carrozzeria-216429734/ Clarification: Lasim will manufacture some bodywork/frame parts, not the whole frames.
So...they won't be made in the historic Ferrari factory? Good to know. I don't care how fast they are...
What a beautiful ambiguosity here. Is the date of the reveal right or the place of the reveal is right? Ehhm. We still know nothing for sure
Every aluminum frame since 360 has been made by former Alcoa (now OMR) Previous steel-tubed frames were built by Vaccari & Bosi workshop since the 60's
Yes. They're probably not 100% accurate. And I still believe 'Ferr9000'! Btw, I think F171 is the Big brother.
The article clearly says that the F173 is a hybrid and is expected to appear in Frankfurt March 7th. I do not see any ambiguity except that this information contradicts everything else that we have been led to believe (488 update, bb, etc.). I could be wrong but at least to me it appears that we are going to have the next generation 4xx vehicle plain and simple. It doesn’t matter to me if the cats out of the bag since I have little to no status and likely 3 years away from having the privilege of spending 400k to get one.
F173 is the hybrid car that will replace the F142M-FL in 2021 (That's when Ferrari plans to have a full hybrid lineup in the "mid rear engine" sports car segment). F171 should be the Big Brother.
Geneva Motor Show is opening March 7th 2019. Frankfurt Motor Show is in the Fall. Two different places and dates ... Trying hard to clear things up
The article is stuffed with errors, first of all the Frankfurt show is scheduled in September, not March.
All what I have posted are facts and not rumours: F142MFL is the "488 Facelift" (142M=488, FL= Facelift) for Geneva Motor show. F173 is the "488 Big brother" ( I called it like that since the beggining so you can differentiate them). You can follow my latest post to have an idea when it will be launched. I will talk about other codes/projects when its the correct time to do it. *If any website, blog or social media wants to use this information please give credits.
Thank you very much. I was fairly confident BB = F171, I'm sorry to have wrote wrong info in some messages. Inviato dal mio BAH-L09 utilizzando Tapatalk
I'm sorry too. I really thought that F173 was the codename for the replacement after reading a previous post from March 2018 https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/145854443/
Yeah, that makes more sense. By the way, if I recall correctly, there was a private preview of the Pista in late January. Will there be one for the FL too?
