Fair enough. I really like them, actually. Their styling is perfect. All it needs to finish off the interior is an elegant quality 70s radio with chrome trim in the centre console to match . I speculate that when Fioravanti was styling the 308 in the mid 70s, a casual eye was on Becker's range at the time. What the dealers ended up installing many years later is irrelevant.
I've got a fairly modern unit in mine, but it looks just plain black when off, hardly notice it. When on it provides green backlighting and is bluetooth connected to my smartphone for music and navigation. I have modern speakers in the doors and the sound is good enough for when on the motorway (freeway) and at low speeds like jams.
gabriella is a 1987 328 i purchased in 2007. she has a blaupunkt radio that i've never turned on and don't even know if it works. same goes for the antenna. never verified if it goes up/down. don't care. i like it parked in the fender.
My car is called Lemmy: Who has the radio delete has also to weld shut and repaint the right rear fender. And delete the door speaker grilles. All different things are inconsistent Best from Germany Martin
