That’s what I thought…I’m just not savvy enough to spot restored interiors on Lamborghinis or Ferraris. The interior on your ’75 is fantastic!

Agree - beautiful color combination and I don’t think the interior is poorly redone but just easy for me to spot as a resto vs. original.

Yes, rear seat pleats are incorrect (should be vertical vs. horizontal) and the seam on the front of the dash pad stands out as a resto as well. The front seats look pretty good and overall the interior is very nice but could be better with a few details corrected. One thing I’ve noticed is that fabric interiors/seats (tartan, etc.) are much harder to spot as restorations vs. leather.

Most interesting...any idea when the change was made to the horizontal pleats and smooth leather on the front seats (not perforated)?
I must admit that the vertical pleats look strange when in a car with the original front seats with perforated leather and horizontal pleats...Perhaps why the rear seats say Turbo on the back ... to encourage people to keep them down to hide the design clash.

The change occurred for the 1977 model year for both the 911 and Turbo. Front seating surfaces were always perforated (and included a pleated head rest area for 1977). It never occurred to me as a design clash to have the ‘75/76 seat pleats in different directions.

I just got the latest issue of Originale 4 and it appears that Porsche Classic is reproducing the headlight washer nozzles ! After checking the classic parts page, i see other headlight washer parts are now available as well. The nozzles, along with check valves and base gaskets allow owners to replace failing or broken washers.

    http://www.classicshop.porsche.com/pcos-usa/911-g/production-period-1974-1983/electrical-equipment/windshield-washer/

    Part Numbers
    Nozzle 91162808502 (R) 91162808601 (L) $ 83.50 each (according to Pelican's part page)
    Check Valve 477955183 $ 21.00 each
    Base Gaskets 91162880800 (r) 91162880700 (L) $ 19.61 each

    +1 - awesome!

Now if they can just encourage Bosch to churn out 930 fuel pumps and coils. :)

I have no affiliation with this listing, but thought I'd pass it along: When I restored #470, one of the most frustrating aspects was hunting down all the components of the Blaupunkt Bamberg. It was expensive trial and error. I've had an ebay search running ever since, and it just surfaced this amazing find: a new in box bamberg with all the literature, mounting brackets, even a test cassette. I've never seen the Porsche crest on the digital tuner panel, and this is a Euro version obviously. But literally a once in a lifetime find for someone doing a TC restoration, at a very reasonable price! Hope it helps someone...

1976 Turbo Carrera, chassis # 9306800102, Continental Orange and Cinnamon leather. Originally fitted with black Turbo Graphics and Cinnamon leather w/ Dress MacKenzie tartan. Looks like a center console was added along with H-4s and RoW rear bumper pads, otherwise, looks original. Would be stunning to see with the Black Turbo graphics.

Posted this earlier in the thread but just looked it up in Ryan's book...'75 Turbo chassis # 9305700255, Guards Red w/ black leather, black Turbo graphics, black headliner, P7s, sunroof, sport seats, and very rare Z-297 (one of two '75s) - fog lights included but not installed and without switch, wiring harness or holes.

Perhaps this Japan 3-liter Turbo (minus 911 hood safety stripes) could be the same ’75 Turbo that was featured in the 1976 Mitsuwa Motors brochure. The ’75 Turbo in the Mitsuwa brochure may be chassis # 9305700051, orange w/ black leather, black 911 hood safety stripes, A/C, and white fog lights. Nice detail of the windshield decal enlarged in the photo below and note the U.S. sugar scoop headlights.

    Hi
My car is a Nov 75 model.
Would it have come with a 75 model (green) owners manual or the 76 model (black) one?
I always assumed it would have the 76 model one but I saw an add for another late model 75 with a green owners manual listed.
    Would appreciate your feedback.

Nov '75 should be the black 1976 Turbo manual

Have been looking for these for many many years. To me a turbo carrera without them, well it is not the same, and of course my turbo carrera has been without them for a long time. A huge thanks to Porsche for making them, and Stevie for letting us know about this!

Today Fedex brought these, also got check valve's and gaskets. I ordered via Rosepassion, I like their site, easy to use and quick checkout, plus for Europe delivery has always been fast.

Outstanding ! These are great classic replacement parts at a reasonable price ! Curious, are the check valves the older type as pictured in the catalog ?

I'd like to compare these to original parts as there has been others on the market for a while now that are not the same quality as originals. Some of the porsche classic new parts are not good when up against nos.
i'll have to buy some and check for myself at some stage.

1976 Turbo Carrera Press photo PA 534-76 nicely illustrates that U.S. '76 #0011 also had a 1975 model year Turbo spoiler without the raised Porsche crest. Likely only 1 of 2, 1976 Turbos (6/75 production) that had this earlier spoiler along with U.S. '76 #0012 (yet to be unearthed).

Hi please can you clarify? Do you mean front spoiler? If so, what is the difference between '75 and '76?
( bonus question: is there a difference between, say '76 and '78 (3.3L) on that part?)

Think this is important, I want to understand.

    Thanks!

I've heard that the front spoiler mounting holes were different between the 1976 and 1977+ but I have not been able to verify. The 1977 should be the same as the 3.3 liter Turbos. I have a spare front spoiler removed from a 1976 Turbo but don't have a 1977 to compare.

The front spoiler Porsche crest was added ~8/75 for the 1976 model year and unfortunately, it makes the 1975 Turbo spoiler nearly impossible to find.
