Sorry I posted the wrong quote. Ben Salerno is one of the best mechanics in Northern California and has probably worked on more CSs ( including mine ) than anyone else in Cal.
Agreed 100%. My first exotic was a manual murcielago (highschool days car) that I got in 2015. Then I added a 360CS to the fleet as it was my second highschool days dream car. And only now am I looking to get into newer cars. Just bought a 2019 Raptor (little different story) and am looking to get a manual 991.2 or 992 GT3 soon.
I have had the same experience in Australia. We don't even have a lot of them here. There's only one way to deal with it: JUST DRIVE IT!
MikeLaw I ran that VIN # though my DMV connection it is own by SHELTON SPORTS CARS address is 5750 n federal hwy Ft Laud, FL 33308
Thanks. I see it’s for sale by Automotive Media Services in Reseda, CA. This is the only link that works for me (on Kelley Blue Book). Perhaps Automotive Media Services is some kind of brokerage service? The car was delivered new by Shelton Ferrari, but that company closed down and it is now Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale. https://www.kbb.com/cars-for-sale/505397269/?totalresults=9&index=8&origin=fullinventory&s=derivedpriceasc&state=ca&city=reseda&dealername=automotive%20media%20services&dealerid=65295451

I don’t know anything about this particular CS but It appears the address of Automotive Media Services is the same address as Premier Auto Body in Reseda. Makes me a little nervous. Makes me wonder why this owner would choose AMS to broker an investment grade CS? Would love to get clarity from the owner or someone who knows.
I’ve researched the “track incident” that was from the original owner in 2006, who then kept the car and drove it thousands of miles after it was professionally repaired by Ferrari of Houston, and his nephew bought it as the 4th owner. Having gone off track it damaged the rims, tires and brakes. The rotors were replaced (carbon ceramic are not cheap) and calipers were changed from black to yellow at a cost of 16k for just parts...plus rims and tires explains the majority of the expense. Based on that, I don’t think many would think twice about buying it since it was repaired to spec...unlike some that deserve a “history” and substantial downgrade in price since they are patched together by body shops. Thankfully, there are enough people that are speculating about cars without all of the facts that provide opportunities for deals! I have a couple Ferrari’s (one of the nicest 458 spiders with a 365k build) ...and have several collector cars, and this one is going to make a nice “one of one” addition.
Been following this car. It was at CNC since them time I tried to buy it which was well over a year ago. Never sold. Finally just sold at Barrett Jackson this month for $150K. Appropriate price for this car IMO.
Anyone looking for a pristine, collector quality, Rosso Corsa (rare on a CS!!), no stripe, black leather w/ red stitch with only 3k miles? This is a unicorn!
