Yeah. Whatever.
So the classiche black Ferrari that sold for 86k last week is now on eBay for 130k... Shameless dealer... Image Unavailable, Please Login Maybe this car will be twice on my spreadsheet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thing is it’s 2019- the internet never forgets, u know people can just google the vin and see it. Why would anyone give them 50% of the price in 1 week? Another one that may not sell fast. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
if i was in the market i would not expect to pay for what he paid for it ,fresh major service car looks amazing i would of loved to own that ,if another come across in that condition and that price im getting it and add another tr, dealer has every right to make a profit he needs to keep lights on good luck to seller its a stunning example condiotion from pics look amazing
Every right maybe but I can guarantee it will not sell at that price at all. That being said it is still much much cheaper than those Barret Jackson prices Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
if someone looking for a blk tr and if its as clean as the pics in person someone will buy it again dealer has every right to make a profit. 110k maybe
Nat, Most of these dealers like to over charge the customer at least 50k if they can. Others prefer 100k or more. Lol
A friend of mine was the number 1 exotic car dealer importer in Mexico, he brought all the exotic brands (Pagani, Bugatti, Koenigsegg, etc) and before that Lambo Ferrari etc before the brands came my themselves. His secret was to always give a client a good price for his trade ins and make a profit only on the sale side. He told me the clients are not stupid and if he tries to squeeze every single penny he will not have any more clients. So he always gave above market value for the trade ins, at the end he was happy and the client was happy. Here a dealer would make a list of every single thing wrong to negotiate the price down and the next day just give it a nice wash and sell it as an immaculate car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
if they sell at 110 thats 20 k over price its a beautiful example from pics lots of trs out there are beat up
thats why we have choices if your not happy with that dealership salesman walk away and find another car ,the chase to find the right car is whats really makes it fun
But sometimes they get offended when you call them out, just like what happened to Nat on Bat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
LOL I don’t mind getting insulted online If people want to overpay its ultimately their problems; I know if u take ur time u can buy right without emotions at a good price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just like I got mine from you!! You were like Steve Martin in the father of the bride!!! LOL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah when you call them out they get mad is correct. I’ve done this frequently to shady car salesman and enjoy it. I called fantasy junction which is in ca a couple of days ago and talked to s Salesman by the name of Spencer. I asked him about their 1993 Ferrari 512tr with 32k miles and asked how they came up with their price of 187k for their car. He says it’s a consignment car. I offer him 128k because their car is almost an exact match to the one sold on bat. He says oh, you watched the car on bat what’s your handle, I tell him zeff and he tells me to f—- off and goes crazy swearing at me. Why would you list a car almost 60k above market. He says my client has 180k into the car. So basically this his how he determines value based on what his client is into the car for. I told him he was an idiot for using that as his reason for determine value. I said I bet you don’t even have the major service done either do you. He says no it was done 6 years ago. No surprise, the car will never sell unless he gets his price down to around the 120-130k range, that I guarantee. The fact this guy went bezerk was the best part. I am in the market for another car. If I Find a car like this that I can feel comfortable to daily drive I will buy. I asked him what he thought I paid for my car which is flawless with 11k miles and he says 150k being serious, I said your good and your close. You clearly know what these cars are worth but you still are willing to take the car in. What does that say about you as a dealer. You over price your product, I’ll never buy from them.
this is something i would not continue to have a conversation with a salesman ,it can turn into personal and than can get ugly make an offer if seller says no and no counter move on .
I am confused after he told you F off you still managed to have a conversation with him? Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If any BAT dealers or dealers are reading this they are probably hating us tonight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dealers are not doing anything that is sophisticated and thus you don’t need someone very sophisticated to do it. Best to move on and not engage. The story is interesting because it reinforces how many people bought at the top of the market and now can’t sell.
