Not excited for the C8. None of the spy shots in the American section do anything for me. Speaking of the 911, the GTLM cars are going to be running in Brumos colors which should be awesome.
Late to the party but is anyone here as stoked about full 24hr coverage on NBCSN? No more Fox screwing stuff up. If its already been addressed here I did say I was late.
I believe there are a couple gaps with NBCSN where you will need their app to view the coverage. Unless this is schedule has changed. Saturday, Jan. 26 1-2 p.m.: 2019 Season Preview Show (NBCSN re-air) 2-5 p.m.: Rolex 24 at Daytona (NBCSN) 5-9 p.m.: Rolex 24 at Daytona (NBC Sports App) 9 p.m.-3 a.m.: Rolex 24 at Daytona (NBCSN) 2:25-11:55 p.m.: Rolex 24 at Daytona (IMSA.tv) Sunday, Jan. 27 12 a.m.-2:35 p.m.: Rolex 24 at Daytona (IMSA.tv) 12-3 a.m.: Rolex 24 at Daytona (NBCSN) 3-6 a.m.: Rolex 24 at Daytona (NBC Sports App) 6 a.m.-3 p.m.: Rolex 24 at Daytona (NBCSN)
This is going to be the largest undertaking of a Motorsports event on NBC Sports With an exemption to a 4-hour block from 5-9 PM Saturday night & a 3-hour informercial block from 3-6 AM Sunday morning
True but it beats the crap out of Fox! Let's hope they get a better full time audience than expected so they can justify not jumping around next year. One can hope.
Getting chores done now. Its getting close! Was at Team Risi back in fall and got to see the car being put back together for this race. Good luck to them.
That Mazda DPI is a pretty good looking car. I like the mirror wrap on the big shark fin as it makes it looks absent from an angle. It makes a reflection of the same side wheel and bodywork.
If they are going to have this many commercials for the entire race it's going to really suck. They're going to commercial after just a few minutes of coverage constantly.
One of the 911s keeps pitting with the front bumper coming off. One of the Ford GTs just went to the garage. You'd think NBC would have someone there figuring out what's going on but they casually mentioned it and moved on. Sigh.
They just updated. Contact leaving pit lane. Front bumper had to be replaced and a rear suspension component broke as well. Car is still off the pace per the team. 3 laps down. #67.
Love the color scheme on the #13 Brazilian Ferrari! I like the concept of the box on the left of the screen listing the top 5 in all 4 classes at once. But when they show the overall standings with all the classes together, the blue background for the LMP2 cars is almost invisible.
First caution. #99 GTD Porsche went boom into turn 1. I believe it was the same Porsche that crashed in the second hairpin 20 minutes ago.
#5 DPi spins after hitting the #4 GTLM Corvette and has been in the pits with the back of the car apart for laps more.
Yes, Alonso driving well. Coverage via NBC App seems to be commercial free so far. If they would spend more time on the race and less personality interviews it would be much more enjoyable.
The Castroneves and Alonso duel is good racing! 3+ hours in and the top 3 cars within 1 second. Alonso running 2nd! ...and a fine pass on Rast to take the lead.
