    Bruno was a good driver but got into F-1 kinda late. He drove for the Return of Alfa in 79 - I remember seeing him at Watkins Glen. kind of a rounded car... I don't think he completed that many laps in the race. the race was won by Villeneuve after a spectacular fight with Jones in the Williams.

    I was at the Glenn in 1980 and Bruno was leading in the Alfa, I was routing for him. Then I believe the Alfa DNF!

    I'm not sure they were thinking about '76 just yet, since I don't think the "no airbox" rule had been enacted yet. Probably just looking for alternatives to the tall airbox, perhaps for aero purposes. Obviously this research would eventually pay off on the T2.
