In the UK it’s that antenna or no radio/satnav. I’m sure you’d get over it - I will. It’s not like every single aspect of the Pista is a thing of beauty. The McL 720s has much more modern side/rear treatment than the 488. But this is what we get. I happily placed my order. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I thought the same. The color is provided by the official facebook page of the detailer (Photos with extremely bright light conditions).
I thought exactly the same when I first saw it - to the point of questioning whether I really still wanted the car...!!! How extreme !!! But having got over the initial negativity and as said elsewhere if you want radio/nav in the uk there’s no alternative. Just really strange to think that with all those clever folks in maranello that they couldn’t find an alternative solution. That said the negative impact does reduce after a short while - I think the impact is also influenced by the colour of the centre stripe which it will match. P.s. love the Grigio / Giallo !! The "problem" is compounded for me by the fact I don't really want radio/nav (don't have it in Speciale) but dealer says is a must. I included it when I specced at factory but that was before I saw UK cars. I agree on it being colour sensitive.Have a bit of time to decide so maybe I'll get used to it.
Can anyone shed light on how the front license plate is fitted to these two cars? Is it a fitment without drilling into the bodywork? The plate looks like it has a couple of mounting fittings on it - I really like the fact that it sits straight up as opposed to being fitted onto the sloping underside of the front bumper. Maybe it is just a temporary showroom stick on? Right now in the uk I am running without a front plate on the car as I haven’t found a mounting that I like but am always half expecting to get pulled over for not having one on! The hifi system in the Pista is very good (compared to previous Ferrari systems I've had) - it particularly integrates well with Waze to alert you as you are approaching speed cameras
You need it - Pista is a real great day to day road car but without even thinking about it you are driving at 120
We are just finalizing our no-drill front license plate mount for the 488 Pista which will be available in a few weeks. It will be added to our website soon for order and will offer a no drill mounting option and fast 5 second removal without any interference to a front camera or parking sensors. In addition the mounting of the plate will be adjustable for reach and angle allowing for a truly personalized mounting depending on plate sizes and owner preferences. For North American and all Rest of World license plates including small options in places like Australia and Monaco.
Great news ! Put one aside for me, your licence plate mounts are the best solution I know for special ferrari cars (no affiliation between carbonio and I !)
To me doens't look Mugello....Mugello doesn't have that goldish sparkle in it. Is it more "flat" cherrysh color, am I wrong? Looks like more Fuoco to me, or maybe I just hope because I'm hyped that is Fuoco! lol
Are you fitting it to the carbon center wing or to the lower part of the bumper like you did on the regular 488? Because the lower tunnel needs to be kept free for high speed driving aero.
It's actually very elegant to have the wheels painted in glossy black instead of the standard matte tone.
My thoughts exactly. I've spec'd Fuoco with the same stripes and black calipers so I'm equally hyped lol.
We would not dream of fitting it to the center wing as the aero on the Pista is totally different to that of the 488. The plate will be fitted above the area and of course below the leading edge of the hood. It is a very trick solution and one that our design engineers spent a lot of time working on. I'm sure any Pista owner will approve
