I saw one of these on the road yesterday. I can't say I'm in love with the thing, but at least it doesn't have the giant-mouth grill and 37 conflicting lines so many new cars have.

Modernizing what was a strange and highly compromised design is head scratching. Renault could have picked some better cars from their past to reimagine.

I like the fact that the French are going back to the 1950's and 1960's when they were very original with their cars designs. Now they just make blobs that could be Korean or Japanese. Weird but interesting just the same. Just came back from the Chicago Auto Show and all you see are SUV's and pickups mixed with luxury and sports cars. The SUV's all look the same as do the pickup trucks, and they are getting beyond ugly and boring. This one wins!!! I guess it used the skyscrapers as inspiration, although Legos may have also played a part as per their presentation wich showed both :) Well done Chevy.

I thought this was very cool.
A refreshing change from some of the overwrought products we've seen lately.

    Oddities from around the world.

Originally named the 4200 GT, the Uirapuru was developed to showcase and promote the capabilities of Brasinca, who built trucks as well as stamped car parts for other manufacturers. 77 cars were made in total from 1964-1966, including three convertibles, when Brasinca shut it down due to high manufacturing costs

Was at a C&C this morning with my DB9 and took these two pictures.
Ford owned Aston Martin once upon a time and looks like they kept the rights to the trapezoidal grill of the DB's.

The other interesting observation is that the Ford is 10 years newer than my AM. The colors were also quite similar.
