I've been in Turks for a week so sorry for the delayed reply David!

Good news is the projects list is 'elective' for the most part.. Mechanically the boat is in great shape and just a few things to rehab and update but that's life in the boat world..

Projects, listed large to small -

Tender - Still looking for a good tender. I've got addicted to looking at center console boats for sale.. On thehulltruth.com, boat trader, yachtworld, more than fchat these days.. I guess all the fun is in the search.. Once you find one, it's like the dog catching the bus... It's been a lot of fun but I've never changed my mind so much in my life... Scouts, Intrepid, Contender, Yellowfins, Pursuits, SeaVee, and more have all been contemplated.. I've (almost) decided to spec and order a new Nor-tech 34 sport center console - 4 month delivery - powering with Yamahas in lieu of the prescribed Merc's for the boat..

Jet skis - Upgrading current two skis to the big three seater seadoo 300GTX limited.

Bar on Lido deck - Replacing a big island bar with a better one and new appliances.

Network, WAP's, Cameras, Audio, Video distribution - doing a lot here - could be it's own thread for sure.. and I really like that stuff.

Lighting - changing most all the boat lighting, (800 or so lights) - to LED with a correct color temperature for the spaces, along with modern pinhole fixtures in some of the companionway areas on the exterior, and 20,000 lumen underwater lights around the side and stern.

New lighted boat name signs on sides and transom- - matching all color temperatures in the lighting for the exterior of the boat...

Maybe new carpet but we are debating that right now.. Here's a pic of the main salon.. carpet looks better in the picture than in reality. there are some dirty spots that will drive me crazy if we don't replace it or get it cleaned out..

So maybe 'New additions to the Boat' thread is coming soon.. Stay tuned!

For inland boating, it's hard to beat Lake Keowee. It's in the Jocassee Gorge area. Some have called it the Lake Tahoe of the east, and it's located in the only Temperate Rainforest east of the Rockies. Here are a few links:

    https://discoversouthcarolina.com/articles/jocassee-gorges-is-a-destination-of-a-lifetime-teeming-with-scenic-waterfalls-crystal-clear-streams-and-lush-mountain-forests

Folks in our community come from all over the country to live here full or part time at The Reserve or one of The Cliffs communities. The Wall Street Journal just ran a story on a couple that took 15 years and looked all over the county to find a place to retire, and they chose The Reserve https://reserveatlakekeowee.com. Some of our best roads are just miles away, if you come here to visit you will know.

So come take a look, look us up, hang out and Chill. As this is the boat picture thread, here are a few that illustrate how we boat and this gorgeous lake-Lake Keowee.

Fist off, love the old School stuff...93 Donzi Sweet 16 and 1973 Correct Craft Southwind. Full moon cruises are special on this lake.

Image Unavailable, Please Login A minor project that turned out to be a fairly big bite. The valve covers were chrome which is a bad idea because they pit. It’s salt air and there’s a ton of it running into the engine room. At any rate, a couple of powder coaters later I figured out a process that works and did them in a medium black wrinkle. There’s no end to the stuff to do. A hobby.

That's awesome a little old school Ferrari in the engine room.

Sportfish I assume? If the engine room is that nice let's see the rest!

Viking 56' SF. You're right about the old school Ferrari techniques. I learned from watching Dave Helms at Scuderia Rampante do engine outs and the care he put stuff back together with. Getting this the right way so the covers aren't warped and so on turned out to take more learning than I thought. Here's the worst one but an example of where they started. I've lost my mind.

How do you put a 32’ tender on a 125’ boat?

    It’s beautiful.
