Can I buy the one pictured in the middle of the three? ;)
You are right about the BBR 250 GTO, Marshall. For me this is the best one, wheels are good, specially when you can lowered the model a little bit. I have done that with a damaged (blue with white stripe) GTO, which I repainted in grey. The stance of the car is better now. Image Unavailable, Please Login
thank you, will try to get one of bbrs racing versions, too bad the targa florio one is almost impossible to find now
Thank you Marshall. I know, the colour on this model is from a replica GTO, but I have already a few red GTO's (BBR + CMC). Now I have question for you Marshall: Do you know something about the brand "D.M.C.55" ? Maybe for 6 or 7 years ago, I bought a 1:18 model of the proto-type of the 250 GTO. It's a little bit rough, but it has it charmes. Because I am a great GTO-fan, I liked the model to have it in my collection. Do you have any idea? Thank you Pedro. I am a little proud of this model, because it's very rare, you don't see this every day.
You are right Jim, it's a very nice detail. Same as on the original car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
You're welcome John. Well that is a very interesting and unique model. I must admit that this brand is not one that comes to my mind at the moment. I don't think I have ever seen this one before! Something new to me.... well done! I will go further to say it looks like a very well made model with great attention to detail and one you most certainly should be proud to have. I know this GTO version was only made in 1:43rd scale many years ago, I highly doubt that anyone else (besides D.M.C.) will make this again in 1:18. This is a very rare piece. Two more comments; based on so many models I have seen over the years from countless specialty "cottage industry" model companies.... I think there is a possibility that the brand is just named "D.M.C." and that the 55 might possibly be the individual serial number of that model in the edition. It might be how they numbered each piece with the individual model number after the brand name. Also a possibility is that this was from an independent builder and D.M.C. are his initials..... Just a couple of thoughts based on many other models made.
Thank you for your comment, Marshall. I think, the brand (or person, company) is called D.M.C.55, because I have found something else. This is written on the back of the original base: Image Unavailable, Please Login And they (or he) have made another model in 1:18: 275 GTS/4 NART Base is a 1:18 ERTL 275 GTB, but now in full resin. Very interesting John. OK, so now we know the brand is D.M.C. 55. Even though these are relatively new models, the style of the base plates on these look like the way they used to be made in the cottage industry back in the 1970s and '80s. Please let us know if you find out any more information.
D.M.C. 55 are the initials of Mr Di Magli Cosimi and 55 is his year of birth. Thank you Eric alias modena06.
YAY! Mystery solved. Persons initials as I thought. Year of birth makes sense, though I probably would never have guessed it. Questions..... any idea of how many were made of each? Where does he sell these, or where did he sell them?
I'm sorry but I have to correct my friend Eric... D.M.C. 55 for Di Maglie Cosimo and 55 for his year of birth. He lives in Italy but was born in Greece. You can contact him by facebook. In the past, his both models were sold by RP Model in San Marino.

Thanks for posting these better pictures Pedro. Maybe the body shapes aren't 100% accurate but overall it looks fine. I will probably replace the large wheels though. I'm going to place my order
It looks very good to me, hope mine will arrive soon, i took this pictures from tecnomodel oficial site, strangly they didn't have any of the yellow car!
