Oh dear. Is there anything in the rules that prevents them from running a 2018 car as a stopgap?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Ferrari said their car is 1.5 seconds slower than last year because of the new front and rear wing rules.

I'm not sure. Even if possible and they adapted the car to this years rules it would be even slower.

Yep...but Ferrari had a good base car, so less time to be won. Williams started with the slowest car, surely an improvement would be easier found on such a thing.

It sounds like Williams is on the ropes before the opening bell.

Teams have been late to testing before. It's not the end of the world.

They have some serious soul searching to do if they've built another clanger. Maybe it's time for them to take the Williams sign off the front of the building and give the building keys to a group of people who want to be there.

Evidently the car was ready 'a few weeks ago'

Until one of the cleaners, sweeping the floor one Sunday, noticed it looked very similar to the 2018 car.

She told Claire 'the front wing looks pretty similar to last year'

Claire 'oh bloody hell ! get Paddy on the Rokit phone' as she spilt her roast beef and yorkshire pudding all over the kitchen floor...

I find that rather ridiculous. Why do they call it pudding?

Hey, don't panic. Force India once missed 4 testing days and still finished 4th.

As others have said...the problem smells like a funding short fall. One now has to question if they will even get to the grid in Australia. If they miss that then they probably will fold and wait to be sold/bought for parts. If they can't get on the track this week then it is time for Robert to look for an Indy car ride. Or some of the other mid-field teams could give him "try outs"...and get some free testing on their cars. I would love to have seen him in a Haas or an Alfa. Still would. Very sad for him. This may be his greatest test.

Better to talk about food than Williams. That discussion of F1's legendary teams is depressing.

Is Roofie Yorkshire Pudding a thing? Some Williams fans might willingly partake to get through the season.

Motorsport website talks about Paddy Lowe being fired, or leaving Williams.

It's a bit premature perhaps, unless he is the cause of this cock-up

I thought he was shareholder in the team

Maybe this is all a family funded charade until Sir Frank passes away.

I'll believe it when I see it. Why wait until the afternoon session? Shouldn't it be good to go?
