Where exactly it’s not on the audio system as shown, is it only on the NAV units? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I promise its there - remove glovebox - remove NIT unit and its right behind the dashboard on the left hand side
My friends 2012 did not have this option and after disassembling most of the dash and the glove box there was no plug in available for the oem iPod connector (bought from Ferrari). So I don’t know why there are conflicting info out there but as far as I know it is not possible Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I can echo this, there’s no harness or fitting plug behind the audio amp or head unit that allows the iPod cable to plug in I suspect you need to get a head unit (GPS variant). Can someone confirm??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Can you provide more details, you mentioned it’s a harness, where exactly does the harness connect to? What is the “dashboard” is it the aircon controls? Left head drive on a LHD or RHD car? Does it differ depending on that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well guys I found it, you don’t have to waste 2 hours removing the glove box, its behind the center HVAC control, there are 3-4 bolts on the bottom of the dash, remove those then the entire center pops right out. Pull the foam back its attached to a metal rail on the right side. Plugged in the IPod adapter and the Bovee and the it pops up on the menu. Pics are here.. Great news Kevin! Question: I have a 2012 with Nav. To get the iPod function, do I simply plug in Ferrari cable(part#257948) into this I’m good to go?
Kevin, another dumb question potentially... where are these screws to be removed? Under the glovebox, near the driver side footwell? Don’t see any under HVAC
Yes plug it in and good to go, I connected the Bovee Bluetooth adapter to it, as soon as the phone connects the iPod icon comes up. The screws are down right above the carpet line above cup holders and then a few under steering column area.
Thank you Kevin. There’s a lot of foam in there and I’m trying to figure out what side the iPod connector is on. Is it on the right side of the HVAC when looking from the back of the unit?
The problem ive had with the Bovee is you need to replug it back into the adapter after the car is shut off and restarted. Anyone else ?
I was able to find it thanks to the pics above. It was certainly more straightforward to go in through the HVAC panel than the glovebox. On my 2011 458, there was an amp which had to be moved aside to reveal the area and connector. My Bovee 1000 is coming today and should power right up. Here are some pics in no special order.... I'm using the Bovee 1000 and it plays ok. However it doesn't seem to want to display the title and artist on the car display.... is there something i'm missing? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is normal, sometimes it works and I get surprised, but most of the time you are going to have to settle for iPod track 1475 or something like that
What are you using to connect to the Bovee? I'm using spotify on a pixel phone and can't get the song/artist display or car controls.
