So I've been having issues with the window auto drop feature on my 430 like several other people and I'm thinking its in the module. There are a few modules out there in the salvage world for around $250 guaranteed none-DOA for the first 30 days. The one I have in the car is OEM part number 234698. I can get an oem part number 185888 which is superseded by the 234698. Does anyone know the difference? I see both numbers listed for either 360 or 430 but I'd hate to go back to a previous version. There is always some sort of improvement or change when they come out with a newer version that warrants a complete change in the part number. $250 is cheap enough to try it but I'd rather not waste my time if there is any compelling reason not to. Thanks for any insight!

    ok, so
I tried my 360 module on my 430 and on my CS. No problem found
i also tried my 430 module on my CS and my 360. No problem found
I also tried my CS module on my 430 and my 360. no problem found
I guess i am a very experiment-inclined guy and tests like these satisfy my curiosity. LOL

all these 3 modules have different part numbers on it and I guess they are really just interchangeable.

Any chance it could be a bad micro switch? I think they have been a possible cause for your issue.

Most likely, a misadjusted microswitch on the window regulator arm.

    Thanks guys!
Four reasons I suspect the module. 1) Both windows came down with issues at the same time. 2) Both windows will drop to the pre-open position when the window switch is pressed and held. My assumption is if the microswitch near the window regulator was faulty, it would keep going? 3) Both outside door handles will activate the inside lights plus you can hear an audible click when you barely move the handles up. I assume the microswitch in the door handles are multi-function so if it causes the lights to come on then it must be working? 4) I've disconnected all connectors (door connectors and all three connectors going into the module, then re-seated, still has problem. Also did the hard reset by disconnecting the main battery switch and left overnight, then did the relearn the next day including the window re-learn that I've heard about.
Thanks 24000rpm! That's what I needed to know! For just 250 bucks, I might as well give it a try!

micro switch ADJUSTMENT. Want to bet $80 that you'll finally find your problem is just adjustment?

oh, by the way, changing the module has 2 hazards
    1. the clip on connector breaks easily.
    2. your neck would suffer, especially if you are a big guy. ( i am not and it still is a gymnastic excercise)

so don't buy the module, pay $80 to me. LOLOLOL

So you're thinking its just coincidental that both microswitches in both doors failed at the same time?

One more thing to check before you buy a new module. Check the inter-door electrical connector for corrosion. That's where all the microswitch electrical connections are passed on to the window ECU.

Hey 24000rpm. I'll pay ya 80 bucks if you send me one of your modules to try out!! LOL! Seriously though, thanks for the advice. I've already been on top of my head pulling the old module out to reseat the connectors. And yes, Those connector tabs look like they can break off real easy!

I saw that thread earlier. Interesting. It looked like your module was the earlier version (185888). Wondering if it has the same component layout as the 234698 module. I might have to crack that puppy open! The LM 2904 op amp surface mount is a fairly common component. Easy enough to get. You don't see too many folks troubleshooting down to the component level anymore!

    Question please:
Is there 2 window control module? Driver side and passenger side?
Is it possible to install the driver side module on the driver side to get the automatic one push window down feature?

    Thanks in advance.
