“Oooofffft,” said the guy that just paid $600k for a Pista. I suspect most Pista owners/buyers knew this was coming, but this is a pretty big slap in the face for those that bought 1-3 cars (488, Port, GTC) for their place in line for the Pista/Spider. I like it. Looks pretty rad - love the Lexan engine window. Should sell like hot cakes. Still has nothing on my Speciale.
I did not mean all Pista owners but specifically the ones who expected/expect market premiums similar to the Speciale's to hold.
Waking up and getting in line at my dealer now. Only three and one half hours until it opens..... Love it.
Wow. So beautiful. I did not see this coming. There was nothing Ferrari made that I’d take over a 720S but this takes it for sure. I’m sure it won’t be quite as rapid based on a vbox but with virtually no lag and 720 hp, it will be unbelievable to drive. Also, I know others have said this, but expect Pista values to take a hard plunge I’d expect.
I really like it. We knew it was going to be a “facelift” so not surprised how similar to 488. However, IMO it really improves on the 488. So a better looking 488, with newer electronic wizardry, and the engine right out of the Pista....yet built for the road and daily use. What is not to love! A car you can spec in leather and comfortable seats. A car you can put miles on and not worry about it being a “Speciale edition.” Can’t wait to see the Spider.
Looks fantastic, but still for me the 458 Speciale just edges it. There's a stunning elegance about it without being too brash! Especially in this spec: https://www.romansinternational.com/used-vehicle-details/Ferrari-458-Speciale-U8309/?Make=Ferrari Image Unavailable, Please Login
nice car and same engine as pista. thinking right now about canceling the pista order. delivery date not yet confirmed...
Let me get this straight, is the F8 Tributo a facelift of a facelift? Wasn't supposed that the F8 was gonna be a brand new model? The car itself is much better looking than its predecesor, which was plain ugly. However this doesn't mean that I like it at all, it lacks of the classy design, elegance within sportiness and smooth lines from the Pinifarina's era (for example, those lateral air vents are awful, they wasn't any effort to hide them or embrace them and make it part of the whole design). Now there are too many vents, too many angles, too many of everthing. Definitely not my cup of tea.
This car is very important for the industry. Huracan Evo is very well done, particularly the interior. Mclaren 720S was such a leap forward it practically skipped a generation. 488 to me, felt lost, which is a shame for my favorite brand. This though, puts Ferrari back where it belongs which is at the top. And we are 4 years away from a 720S replacement so it will stay there for some time. Only complaint, they couldn’t have fixed that stupid key hole in the drivers side door???
Really nice car ineed for me!! not disappointed at all. And I'm not disappointed that I'm getting a Pista after seeing this new F8 Tributo.
All super cars today are designed with angles and scoops. This design integrates them beautifully. There are used 458s or if you really enjoy curves go grab a used BMW Z8. Not a bad angle to be had there.
Is it the same engine as the Pista? The headline figures are very similar but is it based on the challenge engine like the Pista or just a 488 GTB turned up? If it's the later it may have the same power but a very different feel.
Presumably the new emissions rules and falling 488 orders have forced their hand to bring out a facelift before the new car is ready Personally I think this is a dangerous move by Ferrari because if they introduce too many models (like Lambo and Mclaren) there will be no point buying when you know another version is only 9 months away
