Excellent. And that's the point of having "the right car".

I kind of see some elements from the F50. Hood, engine cover, rear spoiler-ish area. Might be blasphemous but it's got a cool vibe.

I like it. I have asked for one. It won’t be a keeper but it will be nice for 6 months to a year and I think this will be a great car to drive. Like a Pista only less raucous.

So the same basic body style? The structure is 10 years old.
I think it looks great. But I was expecting a structure and chassis change.

Normally there'd be triple the amount of post on a new Ferrari - the F8 is Not generating enough excitement IMO

As Ferrari have a new V6 turbo hybrid engine that can produce circa 400bhp/l and wisdom on this forum is that the new V6 will be 2.9l, that is close to 1,200bhp. One way of getting acceptance for the V6 turbo hybrid into the high volume (for Ferrari) F8 replacement would be to have is seen as exotic. That could be achieved if a V6 engine is used in the highest performing, game changing car in the normal range. Given that the BB and the F8 repalcement are meant to use the same platform, are we sure that the BB will not be a V6. It would make the name F8 Tributo make a lot of sense. I know that the V6 is not meant to be ready and that BB is meant to be V8 turbo hybrid, so it is unlikely. But it would make a lot of sense. Just a thought.

Can anyone kind of clarify the Ferrari road-map? I am reading a lot of conflicting things. I am looking to add a 458 this Spring, but would like to have a better understanding of what Ferrari is going to be doing the next few years.

The F8 was just revealed, it's a refresh of the 488.. Got it. Now, Ferrari is also introducing a new V8 this summer.. Is this a successor to the 488; Similar specs and price range as the 488, 458, 430, etc line? Or, are they moving this into a range topping class, above the 812 and future models? If they are pitting this upcoming V8 above the V12s in terms of performance and price, is the upcoming V6 going to take the place of the 458/488/F8 in terms of price range, performance, and class?

I don't mean to add more confusion, just trying to straighten everything out. Thanks.

Should've been called Fugly. Doesn't make sense to pay the price when an entirely new car on a brand new platform will be around the corner after delivery.

Pista is the way to go.

The upcoming hybrid V8 will be indeed above the current V12 models in terms of price and performance. The V6 model, as you correctly imagined, will take the F8's place in 2021.

But BB will be in an entirely higher price point compared to the Pista, not sure if they're considered direct competitors.

I enjoy the 488 design so much that the Fugly just doesn't inspire. 488 really took the 458 beauty and improved on it slightly. Fugly is just a whole different design altogether.

so how will Ferrari lineup compete with McLaren?

v6 vs 570, f8 vs 720, bb vs senna? limited production models like the new spyders vs speedtail? and a laferrari replacement on top of everything without corresponding mclaren?

    should be fun
