I am really interested to see if both new (not FL) mid engined models spawn special series cars but getting a long way ahead of myself !

Is this going to replace the current mid-engine V8 line of cars in terms of pricing and performance, while the V8 cars move above the V12 cars in terms of pricing and performance?

Seems like this V6 will be the most obvious replacement of current V8 line.Best guess is that new V8 will sit above 812 in terms of price but who knows what 812 replacement will cost !

Ferrari is testing different configurations of V6 engines; not sure they have made a final decision yet. However the whole idea of selling a 6 cylinder modern Ferrari will appeal to some people but certainly other buyers will have no interesting going that way. The new V6 series will no doubt direct some buyers to the more conventional F8 instead.

It can't because they won't be in production at the same time.

You have misread it. If you don't like the V6 idea which it will be then they will opt for the F8.

One unusual buying trend is going backward in the Ferrari catalog. Some 488 buyers bought back their old 458 or found another 458. Other people think the Challenge Stradale will provide the raw car experience they are looking for. A 6 cylinder Ferrari may get people to rethink their buying choices.

I assume the engine in this will be the unit in the Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio in higher tune than Portofino Coupe scheduled for this year.

There are some insiders' hints suggesting it will be a brand new v6, with a wider vee-angle.

Some 488 owners going back to 458.

Seen not infrequently with Porsche, more likely if/when GT3 goes turbo/hybrid.

Some of us prefer the linear response of a NA engine.

    I missed my GT4 more than the .1 and .2 GT3.

Really? I only miss it on the road. On the track, the gt3 any day because it is a much harder car to drive well plus the engine.... omg stark contrast...

I know. I really like how it looks with the wing on the gt4. And you could get into redline in Gt4 and feel the fun without going to jail. Lol

Very true on the road the GT4 is an amazing package but a nicely setup 993 or 964 in manual guise is even better deterant to going to jail and still having plenty of fun ;)

My friend went from GT3 to TTS to GT4. Did European Delivery with his son for the GT4, loves it the most.

Drove my 580-2 a bit this past week, didn't make me miss my GT3 too much.

Never owned an air-cooled. My first Porsche was a 997 C2S. Daily drove for 4 years before moving to Ferrari. That car had a lot of character and looking back was a more memorable ownership experience than my 991 GT3. Maybe because it was my first Porsche or was a better daily driver.

Aston firing on all cyclinders. I'm more intrigued by the AM RB003. V6TT

I Can relate to ur sentiments, like all things some cars are better enjoyed on track, some on rd. What each person like or not really boils down to what stirs their emotions, Lambo has never been my thing but I still really appreciate them for what they are...

Yes Aston seem to be coming out with lots of goodies, definitely lots of choices in the coming yrs....

If we are to believe these HP figures, it's impressive what Aston is able to extract out of the V6TT/Hybrid setup and hopefully bodes well for what Ferrari will achieve with the LB.
