I'm attaching the air conveyer to the underside of the front hood on my 348. This piece directs air from the intake vent on the hood to the hvac blower and is attached with aluminum rivets. I tried riveting it with some appropriate sized rivets I had on the workbench but the plastic conveyer wants to crack before the back end of the rivets seats correctly. Any ideas?

Part number 6 on the following diagram.

On Ricambi, it shows the rivets for the later cars. However, Item #6 is the same for all.

Check with Daniel to be sure.

The picture Ive shown above were the original fittings on my hood. MY 91. Separate black washer and rivet. Interestingly nothing shown on the earlier parts diagram.
I reused the black washers with new black rivets bought from Ebay.
