I like all the technical and mechanical changes, but aesthetically it's [more than] a bit disappointing. As some have said, it's like someone slapped a body kit on a 488. You'd think that the designers could have started with a clean sheet of paper and come up with something completely different. i.e.360/F430, 458/488. Is this the end all of body design for the V8 line? Is there no more room for improvement beyond these subtle aerodynamic changes? And the name - *roll eyes*. What the...?!! For someone that is buying a V8 for the first time, this is hands down a great car. But for those that have lived with this body style for more than a few years it's somewhat of a let down. Not saying everyone, but certainly some. Cheers
One thing that confuses me is claimed 0-60 of 2.9s. It has ~110hp more than my Speciale, more torque, newer electronic aids, ?weight...and yet my Speciale has a purported 0-60 time of 3.0s.

Hard to put 700 nm on 2 wheels during launch but the 0-100 should be alot faster Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Understood. I guess my puzzlement is about all this wondrous “technological advancement” and in real world terms on the street means very very little in the way of usable improvement.
0-100 times could actually be faster than declared. In one of the first test videos, the Pista reached 100km/h in less than 2.85 seconds (I think the actual time was 2.3 or something like that). The F8 could potentially clock a similar time. It had also depends on the gearing.
I guess you know by now that trunk is important to me Si it is smaller passing from a capacity in 488 of 230 to a capacity of 200 in F8. And here some pics Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Curious to see if they will offer fitted luggage options. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I don't get the name, because there is no more F12 to accompany it. Then it would have made sense. Then again, I never really understood Ferrari modern name giving.
Good background on the project: https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-shows/geneva-auto-show/a26658400/2020-ferrari-f8-tributo-geneva-motor-show-tech-details/
From what I've seen options list will be much longer! Especially CF options. This will finally raise the price
Look at the 0...200/0...300 [km/h] times. And you can see the difference. If, after all, you are not able to feel it...
Again, understood. To reiterate, I am just bemused (puzzled) by the endless pursuit of newer and more powerful technology that really isn't that much more usable in the real world. I don't see 0-120mph drag races (or rolling races 40-100 mph) to actually be usable in the real world....unless one wants to go to jail quickly. Maybe I'm just getting old. Still very much enthralled by the F8 however.
The rear end details of this car, including the aero pieces, are just beautiful. Not crazy about the Lexan rear glass -- I think it will scratch.
