Ugliest car/truck was that Chevrolet pick up truck. I guess they used skyscrapers as inspiration as per their lame Lego/Chicago skyline presentation.
This was the best concept. I hope we get a lot more new concepts next year with Detroit moving its date to mid year. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
They really screwed up the original showcar that was pretty nice in my opinion. Typical Toyota styling. Mazda seems to be the leader for styling in Japan(and Korea who are already coping the Mazda Vision ) now with it's Vision showcars. Fuelfed update. Still waiting for the rest of the summer schedule to be updated. Ferrari Club of America show at Continental AutoSports Ferrari coming up on March 16th. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Any spring/summer cars & coffee events or local car shows you guys recommend that haven't yet been listed? I'll for sure be at Road America for the summer vintage weekend (July 18-21) as well as the fall vintage weekend. The summer vintage weekend in my opinion is the best car event in the Midwest. On the track you have historic Can-Am, F1, Trans-Am, the race and sports car concours in Elkhart Lake, as well as the classic/jdm/exotic/rare spectator cars it attracts from all over. There's nothing like it!
Saturday, March 16, 2019 9am - 3pm For 41 Years, Continental AutoSports will be hosting this great event to kick off the 2019 event season! An excellent assortment celebrating Italian sports car memorabilia, models, artwork, photographs, parts, accessories, and apparel will be available for purchase. For more information please contact Lisa Leathers, Marketing and Events Manager at 630.655.3535. www.continentalferrari.com Weather forecast looks "iffy"
Next Saturday is the Ferrari Expo at Continental Ferrari in Hinsdale. Hope a lot of you can make it to this great event. Also Fuelfed has posted most of the 2019 schedule wich will be very busy again. I think Chicago has a very good sportscar collector community. To add to that Fuelfed has several private car collector events not on the normal schedule over the next 30 days and all summer long. To find out about them and attend become a fuelfed member. By the way, I am only a member and have nothing to do with them otherwise. Image Unavailable, Please Login
March 16th 2019, Ferrari Club Of America Chicago chapter Literature and memorabilia Expo 2019 at Continental Autosports Ferrari. Photo from today. I have to re-up my membership to fuelfed even though I was only able to attend a couple events last year
Anybody see this BMW CSL at Fuelfed Winnetka last year?? I know an Alpine A310 and a few Lancia S4's and 037's have been showing up at Fuelfed events but not this one. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Haven't been to Continental since they sold Maserati. Did they do a facility makeover like LFSC? See you on the 16th
Hate that I won’t be able to make the Continental event. I still haven’t made my way down to the dealership. But I was able to speak with a technician at one of the FuelFed events about 355 maintenance. Hoping that this year we will be buying something Italian to go along with the Defender!
I'll be there. As usual with one of my 1/12 F1 Ferrari models. Hope to see many old friends there. Again.
Could only stay 1h. But nice to see a few of you guys and this black beauty. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice show again. A few photos of the rows of cars on display. Met a lot of vintage Ferrari collectors at the show, and that is what I enjoy the most about this show. Amazing some of the great stories you hear and how many great Ferrari's and Alfa's are in the area, including Wisconsin. FYI, some interesting cars will be up at the Milwaukee Mile Miller event in mid July so worth a visit for sure Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I only ran in to Stan and his son and Rob (Tifosi2728?) today as far as fchat members go. But I did see a few people from Autobahn including the Weinbergers. It was fun
