    Hi,
I have the chrome challenge wheels on my 599, but I am thinking in having them repainted in silver which I like better.

What is the code for the original silver paint and what is right procedure the shop should follow to have them refinished to an original look.

    Appreciate the help.

Just to let you know, the ball polished wheels are more expensive than the straight painted silver ones.

Are you sure they are chromed and not polished?

As mentioned, those are ball polished wheels, and nowhere near a chrome finish. The ball polishing tends to work harden the aluminum surface and make it more resistant to corrosion.

Personally, I think the ball polished wheels look great on Challenge wheels on all models to which they were fitted.

    Hi

Without reworking the surface of the complete rim, the paint will not adhere on the surface.

If you would live near me, I would change with my silver ones.
    ;)

How about you find another set of wheels you like and keep those the way they are..

    Gentlemen,
After reading your valuable posts, I am now convinced to keep the ball polished wheels as they are.
    Thank you all

If you lived closer to me I'd offer you a trade as I am looking to purchase the ball polished wheels!
