LOL...well funny you say that. In a few months I'm going to Disney World and a Disney Cruise so unless theres on in Orlando at that time, I can't incorporate it.

On a side note, It's astonishing how expensive Disney has become.

My suggestion would be to drive both and compare them, I did myself by renting both over two week periods and i must say 458 is far better. I can recommend http://belgraviasupercars.com/car/ferrari-458-italia-spider who have a large selection, and try going with unlimited miles so you can test and drive long distance to see if the car really suits you. I personally drove it to Scotland both cars and I just felt the Ferrari 458 was so much more refined.

$ you can always earn more of. Lost time can not ever be recovered, if it makes you smile, do it. Unless of course you’re a serial killer...

Forget the F12. You need an FF.

    Well
I can tell you the FF is better, more fun, sounds better and would free up the needed space for a 458 and f12....

    Just sayin'

Just wanted to add my thoughts. I just got a f12 and came from a scud and have test driven a 458 before. If you test drive the 458 and f12 you will prefer the 458. The f12 doesn’t impress by just a quick test drive. The 458 is more nimble and confidence inspiring back to back for a quick drive. When I first got my f12 it was a little disappointing coming from the scud, but as I started driving it more and more I quickly discovered how completely awesome the f12 is. The scud barked and made a loud noise, but the f12 sings! I had to recalibrate my steering inputs and the way I take corners but as I get more comfortable with it the f12 is by far the better car. If you are going to track it get the 458. If the car is going to stay on the public road, f12 all the way.

Great thread! I've been lurking the f12 posts as I'm considering selling my 430 for a 458 spider but have recently considered the f12 for the V12 experience...damn first world problems! ;-)

I had a 2007 430, then a 2012 458, and now a 2015 F12. Haven’t tracked the F12 yet, though I did track both 430 and 458 (with lessons) and both were amazing on the track (458 way better). For non-track driving though the F12 is a much improved experience, both more comfortable, much faster, more practical. Since F12s have dropped in price I think it’s the best value for a current exotic IMHO, and the best exotic I’ve ever had. I can’t think of a time I drove my F12 when I wished I were driving the 458.

Sound comparison vs your 458 as a driver?

Exhaust is one place where the 458 was better, especially at higher RPMs. All my F exhausts have been stock, and at high RPMs the 458 sounded like gorgeous tearing silk, beautiful and addictive with every gear change. Wow that was fun. I had the dealer leave the baffles open all the time on the 458, and found it wasn't necessary so I changed it back regular setting (only open above about 4k). At high RPMs the F12 gets louder and sounds good, but doesn't sound as effortless and other-worldly. After posting on FChat, I received the suggestion to leave the valves open all the time on the F12 so that change has just been made. As soon as it warms up (I live in the Midwest) I'll get on the F12 and see if it sounds better. I still love my F12, though.

BTW I traded in a McLaren 12C for the 458, and the 12C (stock exhaust) sounded like a leaf blower at all RPMs.

V12's typically sound better in my opinion. I had a F430 with a S-line exhaust that sounded amazing. I highly recommend that exhaust. My 458 has Fabspeed headers, sport cats, and a muffler delete exhaust. Sounds beautiful too, but the F430 had a higher pitch than the 458 which I love. I am evaluating what exhaust configuration I want for the F12. Don't know if I'm gonna go muffler change, or keep stock mufflers and go with sport cats and X-pipe.

The 12C is a turbo, and they typically sound insipid.
