If it's true, that you can wilfully under perform at testing then pull 1 second out of your arse just for fun before the first race the "formula" is ****ed.
Lets hope it's not true and we clean their clocks on Sunday.

I agree...and IF it's true and Merc really is top of the field instantly again I'm sure I'm done. Completely over the Merc domination making a mockery of F1. As you say, that would mean the Formula really is ****ed.

 

THIS has been Mercedes M.O. for the last couple of years. I will not even bother with this season , as I have already stated in another thread how the Mercedes/Hamilton "comeback" will occur this season as in previous ones......

 

Agreed, thanks for the link. It would be absolutely terrible for the sport to have yet another year of Mercedes domination.

 

As Gerhard Berger said not long ago...a few years ago Ferrari had FIA's ear, these days the tables are turned and Mercedes has FIA/Liberty's ear.

Trouble is there really isn't an awful lot done about it this time around. Quite the opposite in fact...

Liberty has Brawn who started MB who was shown the door at Ferrari. FIA has Todt who was shown the door at Ferrari.

Complaining about Mercedes dominance is no different than when people complained about the years and years and years or Ferrari and Michael winning. If a team is better, they win. If a team is close but not close enough, they don't win. I would like to see Ferrari win from a point of outright dominance...I want them to be the fastest and most reliable car on the track...I want them to kick ass. I don't want default victory...I want victory victory. I'm more than happy to see Mercedes and RB fighting for second and third...and sometimes fourth.

 

Don't worry, they only do 1 lap of walk, not the race distance

 

Just read that Charlie Whiting has died in Melbourne of a pulmonary embolism - certainly a shock...
