Too much importance attatched to the future values of any cars.Fact is no one really knows. I have a 96 Porshche 993 turbo since new and 4 yrs. ago almost sold it for 90k -glad I didn't because only in the last 4 or five years has the car literally doubled in value.Could easily get 190k for it today.
Also , I'm a Jeep, Dodge ,Chrysler dealer and can't tell how much people lost on what was gonna be a collector one day-on the last Vipers from 2015.
Buy cars that you just love to drive and to admire when you're not driving them.If they go up in value you're more lucky than smart

I think your spec was too personalized, green with gold wheels with red calipers will only appeal to a small % of buyers because majority of buyers are usually looking for a generic spec like white or black. You can't go too crazy spec'ing Lambo's, you're not going to get a return on ad personam or excessive options.

I’d get a 458 speciale over both those cars

Do you have a link for this? Couldn’t find a source that says SVJ is not final Lambo.

I traded in my 2018 Verde Mantis Performante on Sept 30 with 4000 Kms. Dealer had it sold 4 days later at MSRP.

It had high gloss black wheels with green calipers.

Yeah, I was going to say that green on a Lamborghini certainly does not appear to impede a quick sale. It’s certainly not like green on a Ferrari...

True that Verde Themis was the only coupe in the country....wheels were originally black. It is a loud color that one will either love or hate. But a lot of Lambo’s are orange and green.
My point is that Lambo’s don’t hold values like Ferrari’s do in the limited production runs.....

We have similar tastes and both have had both. The S and the H are top echelon cars and each was at its pinnacle upon its release. It’s interesting that we both love these cars but ultimately prefer one over the other.
What is the feeling you get when you drive the HP vs the S?

S was more nimble and loose/hooligan for better and worse. The sound was poor relative to a regular Italia. Love the body though.

HP S is so quick, planted, and VERY loud.

The Aventador is going to be built for two more years according to Lamborghini; March 9 2019.

Lamborghini> But we need to respect legislation. In certain places, you will need electrification to go into the city. That is why the next Aventador will use a normally aspirated V12 but with a hybrid system.” The current model is still selling so well, incidentally, that we shouldn’t expect to see a replacement in the next two years.

was told the same, also there would be another perf....so I continue to wait. if the SVJ was a DCT, I'd jump it immediately, but I hate single clutch transmissions.

Yes sound factor was an issue in our discussions....but can be fixed!
I agree, the S is so much more nimbler and lighter and playful.
    HP more brute and powerful.
    Exhaust notes very different.

I think the major point is what is the better car to drive. I spent the day driving an Aventador S around Miami and I'm sure the SVJ is better. It's going to be very have for a Turbo Ferrari convey the same emotions as a Screaming V12 N/A Lambo. We can talk about values and loss of money but I think ultimately we need to take a look at what is the better car. and what appeals to the driver more. To me a screaming V12 limited run Lambo is as good as it gets.

IDK, but the Perf sounds amazing, while the 720 sounds as bad as 488.

V12 in Lambo and Ferrari will be NA in the future but what about V10?

Next gen, no, not from what Ive been told from people that went back to the factory. That said, I think you can still expect another "evo" from the current generation before this gen goes away.

I cancelled my SVJ order because I came across a very unique TDF at a price that I couldn't say no to. My Pista is coming, but somehow, I'm not too excited about another turbo charged car. For those who took delivery of the Pista, how does it compare to the driving experience (not speed, because I know the Pista is a lot faster) of a 458 Speciale?

Nothing sounds as good as the HP. Even my Urus sounds petty darn good, I don't know how they do it.
