Two years ago when I made the trip to Daytona for the FCA annual meet I looked into installing front and rear facing cameras, but it would have been too hard to conceal the wires. I'm thinking again about doing it.

None of my friends with Ferraris have a camera, just wondering if anyone here has done it.

Dashcam because the ferrari guy is always wrong until you can prove it. Cheap cams can be as low as 50 bucks goes in your lighter. Too lazy to hardwire.

I think its great idea regardless of the car.

Although I have yet to get one, I am actively looking. I want a small unit I can mount just in front of the rear view mirror, with a remote recorder I can tuck under the dash some place..

I've been seriously considering one for my mere commuter car. In my 90 mile daily commute, I see plenty of "wannabe" LeMans racers and definite drunks (night time commute home).

I'm involved right now in a suit where a camera would have made it an "open & shut" case....instead of dragging on for 2+ years. If it wasn't for the police report, the defendant would probably claim he wasn't even there.

Even a "basic" camera would be a definite CYA purchase.

I’d have a camera in my cars, but er indoors reminded me that if the cops saw one in mine, and got their hands on it for some reason, it would almost definately lead to speeding fines for me myself the way I drive... I’m definately not dangerous, but when the roads are clear and safe, let’s just say I drive to the limits of the car rather than speed limits!

    Have one in every car.

Use the cigarette lighter for all of them.

I rather look at the plug (which i wire around the headliner and A pillar) than have to fight what actually happened.

I installed a Roadhawk HD in my 360. Small - fits in front of the rear view mirror. Great picture and excellent in low light. I hard wired it using the dome light power source.

Crikey, I wouldn’t buy any car with monitoring, a black box or a speed limiter in it. What a liberty

I have a Blackvue 750 2 channels on each of my cars. I have also equipped all the cars at my company. I feel naked if I dont have one now. As other said, the Ferrari guy will be at fault until proven otherwise. Also, I am not too worried about the police using it against me (regarding speed). You dont have to show them the footage unless they have a warrant.

I believe you can disable the speed recording so it doesn't show. It's a double edged sword - great to prove you were not speeding, not so great it you were!

I have dashcams in both of my cars. Had some close calls in my DD through out the years of driving, so I think they're worth every penny!
