Can you tell me more about the gearbox repairs? I was under the impression most DCT boxes required full replacements and not rebuilds, but that may not be applicable here.

    Thanks!

Great to know. Helps with determining whether to purchase the yearly warranty(approx $6k) after factory expires or to pass on it.

as it was done under warranty, they did not share details with me. I think they sent the box to Italy and a sensor was replaced, but really not sure. I am sure it was not a replacement box though

Just received my FF which I plan to DD.

Do any of you pop the hood to let the engine cool down every time you drive it?

I just filled up my fuel tank and the range shows 188 miles. Does that sound about right? I’ve read about the low range issues.

Wow, I hope its not only 188! 220 not great but that buys me one more day of driving.. So, I am planning on really DD an FF, and anticipate 60 miles per day throughout my work commute etc, I guess I am filling up every 3.5 days easily. I wish that was the biggest problem filling up the tank, I am more concerned with driving truly 7-8,000 miles per year and what expenses I will have to deal with .. I am reading some of you have had no problems whatsover, and I am sure there has to be just as many or probably more that have to see service more than 1x per year.

If you are mostly on the highway like me, then you are looking at around 350mi per tank with one bar left.

Today the range increased from 188 to 220 overnight! All my driving is local, so will see how many miles I get out of a tank.

I have recently had a Clarion Head unit installed by Ferrari with Apple car Play. I have a 2012 FF. Everything works factory. Spotify is great. All Ferrari logos and startup as per OEM. Had to wait 3 months for Ferrari Italy to send cables and adapters etc. My life is transformed thanks to Apple car play. Even my stock sound quality is so much better. Highly recommended for all early FF owners with Apple Car Play.

Do you have the passenger tv screens? I was told that as they are Alpine, the updated headunit iwouldn’t work with them which would upset the kids. Im thinking about getting an Alpine CarPlay unit as I know this will work correctly but I would prefer the official upgrade.

Mine too, it’s late 14 and still in the boot, as we call it.

I believe you can retrofit the exterior one if you really feel you have to.
