Decided to get a prime rib roast, instead of steaks. Prime rib was $5.99 CDN per lb. I'll cut it into steaks and grill one. Rest will go in the freezer. Plan on doing a twice baked potato as a side.

Bone in? Boneless? That's a steal! Sniff it to make sure it didn't go bad already!

Getting ready to sweat down rainbow and Swiss chard. Alas, not from our garden. Too early still.

I think the anxiety really got to me today, I had a sudden craving for Jack In the Box tacos while I was at the gym. Been eating mostly fish lately.

It was good but alas, never feel good afterwards. Lol

You live in Tejas, and you crave Jack in the Box tacos?!?
You likely had a half dozen bodegas within spitting distance. Tsk, tsk.

I'd definitely cut one nice and thick, say 2" and reverse sear, low and slow in the oven at first and then a Full Darth searing in bacon fat to finish off...T

It's not so much the tacos, it's about the good-disgustingness that is fast food.

I get it. From time to time, we get a hankering for fast food. And, usually regret it afterwards. Try to keep it limited to Whataburger and Chick Fil A though.

Made Kirkland pesto last night. I'm not sure about tonight. Maybe a DQ combo meal. Feel like fast food.

Funny, the wife and I were just talking last night about how long it has been since we were last @ Mon Ami Gabi.
Outside is the place to be, with the free show of the Bellagio Fountains across the way.

I had a fresh juice around 6:00 and a pint of hot chicken broth just now. I’d made some at lunch from legs and feet, ate the drumsticks in part, and shared some with the cat. The broth had shrooms, tarragon, acv, garlic, coconut aminos, sea salt, and grated fresh ginger and turmeric. I kept the feet brewing in some more Meijer Bone Broth (chicken) and added the rest of the feet I had, and have cooked it another eight hours, adding more of some of the same ingredients.

Very cool. The kids must have loved it when the fountains went off.

View of the fountains is also great from the Eiffel Tower restaurant. Get the souffle if you go.

Lentil soup. Chicken, broth, diced veggies. Usual spices. Super secret ingredient? Tarragon!

Which part - mowing the yard or eating at 5 Guys?
I actually like their burgers the one time I tried one. Their fries stink IMO regardless of how much they brag about them.

    Yummy.

I did similar leading to the broth and chicken meat for the lentil soup a few posts north of this. Except I shared with the dog, not cat. A little of the broth and drumstick meat on her kibble and she was, as we say, Face Down Freddie!

Yea, their fries suck. I did get sucked into buying one of their $5 milk shakes. It was good, but it needed to be in a bigger cup for five bucks. Never again.
