I think his choice of Saints may be more of an indictment of how messed up the Fins are and probably less to do with any likelihood of replacing Brees.

What are people's thoughts on Kyler Murray?
5'10" NFL QB just seems like a recipe for disaster. Russell Wilson is 5'11" but got to mature on a team with a standout D.

Do you really want to get into Super Bowls, the number of Divisions won, the overall W-L record?

Okay, nobody said it, so I have to: 'How shocking'....

And he won't, but Bridgewater isn't the answer, either.

Look at the (healthy) talent he has had around him... or not.
He had a great year in Buffalo (I think, once...) - that's why they signed him to the $40 million dollar deal,
but then cut him $17 mill into it.

The league has changed, look at the 'mobile QB's' and how they are doing.
Yes, we still have some statues at QB (Brady, Ryan, Rivers, Eli), but it is evolving to guys like Mahomes, Watson, Rodgers, Newton, Mayfield, Wilson to
name a few - guys that can at least run around and still have a cannon for an arm - that's what the NFL is going to.
Even Ben, Carr, Brees, Cousins, Allen can run around a little bit.
Depends on the offense around them, too.

And I think that's what Bridgewater wants. Look at the circus the dolphins have been for a very long time.

His time with the Texans wasn't bad, and a lot of people had no idea why he wasn't resigned.

As I mentioned above, the dolphins have been a **** show for a long time. And while I've never visited either Miami nor N.O., I'd rather live in N.O.

Also like I said above, that may be what Bridgewater wants. I have a feeling his leg isn't the same and is something in the back of his head that could affect his play. Start your career as a handsomely paid backup and play when you get the chance. And maybe he'll catch lightning in a bottle like Keenum did.

Mobile QB's are fun to watch until they're no longer mobile, which usually happens in a couple years. Wilson is the only one I can think of who has been able to stay on the field. I would draft Haskins way before Murray.

Fair points, but Wilson is 5'11" and Brees is 6'0" and everyone else seems to be at least 2" taller than those. Of course, Brock O is 6' 8", so height is no guarantee of success!

    Like Michael Vick, Cam Newton....
You don't need to RUN, you just need to run 'around', be mobile, 'move the pocket'.

Dan Marino wasn't very mobile, but he also wasn't sacked often. The key is that he knew HOW to move to sidestep the rush.

Marino had a lightning quick release of the ball.

I was thinking the same. I was trying to recall who I was watching that said Marino had the fastest release of any player he played against...T

Good point. I should have made a distinction between a running QB and a mobile one.

An example of a QB who ran too much to his own detriment was Bob Griffin III. He tried to do too much on his own.

I don't get it. Was Rosen that bad behind a crap-tastic O line that they're ready to give up on him after 1 year?!?

True, but even when he was still looking for a receiver, before he even threw the ball, his footwork at avoiding the rush was surprisingly nifty.

I was hoping he wouldn't retire, but during a press conference at the Super Bowl he spoke at length about the toll the game has taken on his body.
