    I’m new to the forum so I’m not sure if I’m doing this right so be patient.

    I just bought a 2019 Portofino and 2019 488 spider. I can’t find how to shut off the auto start and stop, so the cars shut down at stop signs once the engine warms up. Can someone provide some advice?

    Welcome: its possible your HELE action may be dependent on your market so need a trip to the dealer's computer - where are you ?

    There are some recent HELE threads in the 488 and/or Portofino sections as I recall - might be worth a look

    The owners manuals should tell you how to shut it off, if it can be done. The 2015 488 OM I have does not mention the system.

    It can be done, but it has to be done every time you start the car again.

    This is crazy coincidence. I just bought a 2019 488 Spider and a 2019 Portofino! The start/stop button is at the top buttons near the mirror. You have to do it every time.

    Thanks. Found it yesterday.

    Would you happen to know where a lighter is to plug in the radar detector. The only thing I can find is a power outlet in the storage area in the console.
