Just because you have a lot of spare parts from different Ferrari's doesn't mean you can be Pininfarina.

To be honest it looks like a glued on shell. I think the old GT4 might still be under that thing, possibly relatively unmolested.

I actually met the builder. Italian, long term body shop guy at one of the well known restorers and think he decided to do his own thing, as they say, it was his car. Very nice guy. I bought some of the parts off this car (think I turned down the panels. As I recall Hurricane Sandy gave this car a nice deeo bath and his insurers paid him out. I think it was very low mileage at that point.

It’s come up before - might be somewhere in the fchat vaults!

Well known car in the NE. It’s been the subject of Fchat threads at least 3 times over the years. And yes, this car was flooded out by Sandy. I think it was on LI or Staten Island at the time.

    Yes.
I thought (and hoped) this POS was gone forever. Now it's back? Who would rebuild this thing after the flood and declared a total loss? It's like Groundhog Day.

Lot's of labour in that bodywork. Some teenagers will probably love the look.

It could have worked, if it was a bit more integrated like the one below.

    I have a photo from a 2012 thread, didn't save the chassis #.

There have been lots of modified GT4s over the years. Browsing through my photos (5-600 cars) there are at least a couple of dozen cars with scoops, vents, wings and flairs (I am not including "non factory approved" Ferrari badging and script). A lot of GT4s, being cheap by Ferrari standards, were converted to track cars with the attendant body mods. In all it probably makes stock or returnable to stock cars a little bit more valuable.

Thank you very much for sharing.

This has a sense: reminds the Le Mans 308 GT4.

I think everyone can do what he wants with his Ferrari (or Dino): if you want to turn it into an oven or a sofa, why not.
I'm not judging who did it (he could be my best friend) nor the way he worked. I'm just saying I don't like it at all even if it's perfectly built and works ten times better than the original.

    ciao

I think there's an acceptable limit of "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and destroying something. That's as simple as a judgement I'd make.

Well...isn't our whole life made of a constant serie of decisions, choices, judgements; this I like, that I don't? This I want, that I don't?

    It's entertaining, though.

My judgement? The only thing this hybrid frankenstein of a body can offer to the world is ongoing and long lasting entertainment within internet threads.
