That's a handy part. It's quite fragile and can be broken when playing around with the centre console switches.

Man, seeing this thread is so much fun... It reminds me of the days when I worked as a parts guy at a Saab/Suzuki/Mazda dealership.

You want to know weird stale parts? How about a blower motor for a Saab 99 turbo? Or a lock cylinder for a Suzuki Samurai rear door that was only applicable for tin-tops? We had both in stock - the dealership probably still does.

Don't get me started about the 'smalls' - tiny junk that was in a bag so dusty that you couldn't read the part numbers. Annual inventory was a blast.

348 RH FOG LAMP COVER BRACKET

(Nope, not the mysterious and elusive black fascia/trim for 348 fog lamps.... only the mounting bracket that holds it into place)

It's difficult to tell whether it sucks, or it blows that we have this on the shelf at Ricambi America.

+1 -- Daniel, how about a quasi-monthly summary of your sales results for these rare bits of unobtanium? Doesn't have to be super-detailed, but would love to know if/how it's working (e.g., about half is getting sold, it's all getting sold, rarely something gets sold, etc.)...

    Ferrari California Brake Booster

OK, so this isn't dead-as-a-doornail stock, but it has been here about 5 years....
sleaze bag customer used a stolen credit card to buy it, we intercepted the shipment before it got to the final destination (outside the USA) and it was happily returned to us.

(I chose this item for the day, because I've got another sleaze-bag customer who bought something on a stolen credit card last Friday ($2700) that is being intercepted now and returned to Ricambi America before it gets to the 'recipient'.)

One has to be constantly vigilant to CC fraud as a business owner...been there, done that.
