Anyone here in the sports broadcast business? Is this crazy? https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2828043-tony-romo-reportedly-wants-10m-a-year-to-stay-with-cbs-sports-as-nfl-analyst?utm_source=cnn.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=editorial
He had a couple of decent calls in games and now he wants $10mil. I’ll watch the games with no sound.
They could easily replicate that with ANY commentator by simply doing a 10 second tape delay for viewers and commentators get to see a live feed alongside the broadcast they are talking over. Who knows, maybe they do that now?!
From what I can find online, top NFL announcers seem to make $2 - $5M, so $10M is up there. I like Tony's announcing a lot. Will be interesting to see how this turns out...T
How much does Jim Nance make? He does much more than just football. Masters, bball, other golf, etc. BTW Jeopardy host Alex Trbek makes $10 million a year. I would guess more people watch football.
Now that Witten has left and Joe Tessitore is only so-so, I think Tom, Whiskey, Mike, Keith, Texas Forever and me should pitch ESPN to hire us. We could bring dysfunction to a whole new level!
I'm in as long as you don't expect me to do a special on NCAA bracketology. Or fantasy football. Or... I nominate Whiskey for Stephen A Smith's job! T
LOL remember that mega contract that Jerry Jones gave him at the end of his career? How did that one work out? LMAO. Another athlete with alot of potential that went down the tubes after going hollywood (Jessica Simpson). Never go hollywood.....
