When I was working on my car years ago, the reflectors in the tail lights were rotted. I had a shop that does metal spinning make a set from polished stainless steel. All I needed to do was file a notch in the center opening. I think I had two sets made, and I was given the pattern that was used for the spinning. The main cost was making the pattern. I think I know where the pattern is. I know I didn't throw it away. I'm not sure if I still have the second set of reflectors. I may have given the second set to a friend when he was restoring his Daytona.

The roof looked like swiss cheese so we fabricated a new roof and continuing working towards the rear. The doors had to be rebuilt and fitted, new skins which are oversize and trimmed to fit. we even had to fabricate the channel for the leading edge of the door that hold the rubber seal.

We are closing in to having a complete car!! All that is left id fabricating ventillation fan mounts, fitting the front hood, fine tuning door alignment, fitting all stainless and chrome trim, checking all gaps and that about it. We have 2 more weeks and then it goes on rotisserie for final blasting and epoxy primer. I should have it a Brad Diez's paint shop in 3 weeks. It is going Glasurit Blue Serra Metallizzato. All the repair work has been done with lead, just like the factory. Jeff was originally going to take the car back after paint and finish it himself. I think a change of plan is coming!!!

Exceptional metal work, from shaping to welding and lead filling. A craft remaining with the very few. Paint quality can only be as good as the base form. Awesome !!

The area directly behind the door on both sides!
I see metal guys spend a bunch of time working on that area in so many restorations
I feel your pain as this area goes slowly....impressive work - Forza

It's been awhile, but after I sent it to Dugans shop the owner said he was not in a hurry for the motor! That was 4 years ago. It is now done!! Never tell somebody your are not in a hurry.
